We are travelling out there late September, but will only have the opportunity to visit animal Kingdom and one Disney waterpark (as off down to the Keys to swim with dolphins hopefully )

Do I :

a) buy one day passes at the gate for both

b) try Ebay for someones leftover ticket with that option on

c) I have another idea.........

thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions

I would go for plan a, definitely avoid plan b as there is no guarantee tickets will be valid.

Don't do Ebay unless you like a gamble.
I bought Disney Quest tickets from someone with good feedback, they had been used so had to pay at the door. Too late to claim thru paypal when I returned home as I bought them a few months before we went.
If its only 1 park 1 water I don't think you have a lot of options.

I completely agree with the others about Ebay! There is no guarantee that the "right" number of days will be on the ticket and you won't know for sure until you get to Orlando.

The other odd thing about Ebay is that I see tickets going for more than it costs to buy them on the door. Very strange.

Here's a plan go to MK instead!! Even if AK wasn't my least favourite park ,it still closes earlier than the other 3,so seems a waste of your only day.

Not a bad idea thanks, but I have never been to AK before, and have done MK three times, so thinking I ought to go for a look around and see what it's like.

Given that I will be going again, I am thinking about splashing out and buying some non expiration tickets - better value, and future proofed against price increases also!

I think the Ebay option is even more risky (if that's possible) given that finger scanning is now in operation for all types of entry media. I would maybe consider buying an old style pass from someone I know. If you buy from Ebay, you have no way of knowing the number of days remaining until you arrive at WDW. Interestingly, Florida law makes it illegal to re-sell tickets, but not to give them away. Also (more trivia :teeth: ), if you buy your tickets as a family group, you can use one another's passes - your finger scans will be 'grouped' and as long as one of them matches, you're OK.

This seems to be true of so much on Ebay. Just one reason why I think I need to get into selling all my 'worthless' stuff!

Ah, but MK doesn't have Expedition Everest! ;)

I must admit we did actually but some tickets off eBay a few years ago, and have a couple of days water parks left. Whilst we have never had any problems and they have all been valid, as we have all said it's not a good idea and I certainly wouldn't buy off there again as you just don't know until you get to WDW.
Thankfully our Magic Your Way tickets will last us a couple of holidays hopefully.

I know its a big cost upfront but if you are going again the 10 day MYW tickets are best value. We have ordered some for this year.
They cost approx £215 non expiry and £235 if you want hopper option. Expensive but you get 10 days plus 5 bonus days(Water, quest, PI) £14ish/day
