Hello everyone,

We are hoping to rent points for Vero Beach in mid-April or 1st week in May. We would like to go from Sun-Th. My question is should we stay at the Inn or a studio?

There will be 4 of us. My husband, myself who will be 7 months pregnant and our 2 toddlers, 4 and 2.5.

My concern is that if we rent points will we get housekeeping at the Inn? My concern with the studio is that there is no washer/dryer and with housekeeping only being once a week, I do not want to worry about towels and sand everywhere. This is supposed to be relaxing before the new baby arrives.

We rented points last year and loved every minute of it. I am hoping that this trip really makes my husband think about becoming a member.

Thanks for your advice.

Chrissy :)

If you rent points the housekeeping is the same, either in the studio or in the inn. Towel/trash day on the 4th day, when you stay a week.

Both the side buildings and the inn have washers dryers that are free to use. There are towels to use at the pool and I think there were towels to get at the beach, I'm not sure about towels being right there when you go on the beach, but you can use the pool towels

The views are fantastic from most of the OV rooms. Views from studios are not so great, depending on the location. With an inn room you will have two queen beds. With the studio you will have one bed and a pullout sofa. It depends on which of those two options would work better for you.

Yeah I like the Inn rooms better, especially if you can ask for a corner room, it is bigger.
Their studios are all on the back side of the villas (I think) so no great view.

We had a studio that was on the first floor ocean side, but really no view. In fact it wasn't that great to sit on the patio because everyone in the building went right past us on their way to the pool, beach, where ever they were going.

We never stayed in a studio again, we do prefer the OVIR, or even a GVIR.

Mainly the difference will be the view of course, but beyond that the OV room has two queen beds whereas the studio has one king and a sleeper sofa (and I assume a coffee table). There is laundry available on the 4th floor of the inn and each villa bldg where the studios are have laundry in the garage level.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I prefer a studio.
I like the character and shape of the studio vs the boxy look of a standard hotel room.

We did stay in a OVIR once, and we got hosed with the view. We had a room with the high rail, enclosed style balcony. If you sat on the balcony, you had a beautiful view of a wall 12 inches in front of you..

I also like the studio, we like building 4 since it is close to the pool. We find Studio quiet and for little kids it seem way more private than a hotel room.

How hard is it to book VB for April (Easter time) at 7 months in a studio or inn room? We'd like to try for 2011 but aren't counting on it being available.
