hello,

We originally bought our first dvc contract at Boardwalk in 1999, later we added on another contract at SSR . We have far more points than we actually need. So we are considering selling our Boardwalk points. I know we have to give Disney first refusal . Is there any way of finding out in advance how much they r worth? If Disnsey don't want them is there any other companies who purchase them? We r in the Uk and have no experience .

Any help or advise is appreciated.

Btw we have a holiday booked using our 2017 points so it would after that we would be looking to sell.

Is it worth contacting Disney when we visit the states next May?

You don't quite understand how it works.

You have to negotiate a sale in good faith with a third party. Then you submit that contract to Disney, who can step in and take the place of the buyer. Disney does not make you an offer first. Disney will refer you to a third party broker. They won't do anything else for you.

Based on a quick search the BWV points seem to be worth low to mid $90s per point.

Thank you. That makes sense. Where do u find reputable brokers?

If you like staying at the BWV, don't sell that contract. You'll need that to book at 11 months out. You won't get the BWV at seven months out during F&W.

You could also consider renting your excess points through a rental broker. This will help pay for the MF and would put a little in your pocket. In this case you can have the point in case you want to plan a longer trip or one in a larger unit in the future. Your BW points should have no problem booking especially for F & W.

We are from the UK and work commitments mean we only visit every 2 years now and not during F&W

To be honest we have been renting out the excess points for the last 3-4 yrs. Due to work commitments we can only visit every 2 years or so and have enough SSR points to do that. We come for 2 weeks at a time anyway.

We are considering selling as the annual dues will be considerably more with the exchange rate.

As we have a vacation planned in 2017 using our 2017 points, when would be best contacting brokers - we have a march use year?

This is just initial thoughts and advise gathering, as we have a lot of research to do before hand

Thanks

You can offer them up for sale at any time. But you will need to postpone closing until after your trip is completed.
