Advice on Fl play 4 days pass

Have some coworkers who are planning a visit to WDW when their family members visit from Australia. They have only lived in US a few years (we live in FL)and have been asking me for advice. After seeing my pictures they decided to book Pop Century and are now thinking about passes. They are considering the Fl Play 4 days passes,but only 1 of three adults is a Fl resident,the other 2 adults and children are Australian. Will the Fl resident be able to purchase the passes for all to use or will they check each person for proof of residency?

Each person will be asked for a Florida ID except for the children- unless they are 16+. I do believe that the one person from Florida can get a Florida res rate for the rooms though.
