I am leaning toward your dh on this UNLESS he would go with an Odyssey,
You can't go wrong there, even to go with a left over or two yr old with Certified at the dealer. Even a 0 percent, it is still a car that is not worth the $$$$ when you drive off.
I search all the reviews everywhere mechanically and warranty's to make this decision.
Chrysler was recently bought out by Mercedes I think it is, just this years production so the jury is still out. Prior to that the transmission was an overdrive that was less then reliable, it was junk. We had a caravan and it had so much tranny work I could cry.
But this is the first generation on the NEW Chrysler with this company known for quality,
It sounds like you dh is against a minivan, and wants a more manly car. What he should do is bring a cooler, suitcases, duffel, etc, and pack the car and see how he feels.
If you need reliability, room and quality, go the odyssey.
