Advice on Chrysler Minivans

I am leaning toward your dh on this UNLESS he would go with an Odyssey,

You can't go wrong there, even to go with a left over or two yr old with Certified at the dealer. Even a 0 percent, it is still a car that is not worth the $$$$ when you drive off.
I search all the reviews everywhere mechanically and warranty's to make this decision.

Chrysler was recently bought out by Mercedes I think it is, just this years production so the jury is still out. Prior to that the transmission was an overdrive that was less then reliable, it was junk. We had a caravan and it had so much tranny work I could cry.

But this is the first generation on the NEW Chrysler with this company known for quality,

It sounds like you dh is against a minivan, and wants a more manly car. What he should do is bring a cooler, suitcases, duffel, etc, and pack the car and see how he feels.

If you need reliability, room and quality, go the odyssey.

I could get a Chrysler for 1/2 the price of a toyota van. I don't like to keep cars much over 5 years and we never had any major problems with any of ours. I would buy the extended warranty if you do intend to keep them until they drop. We have had two in a row with some kind of power steering noise. I have taken to be fixed a couple of times and they tell me nothing is wrong with it. I have started just adding fluid when It makes the noise. I don't like the looks of the new ones though...

i own a saturn VUE, after GM was so horrible to us, i wouldn't buy a GM. ever.

i don't know about the T&C. just know i enjoyed it the day i had to have a rental car. i liked the features...lots of room...but that was about all. the key was waaaay to big.

That ship sailed a long time ago. Chrysler merged with Mercedes in 1998 and Mercedes sold it to Cerebrus, a private corporation, in 2007. Worst vehicles I've ever owned have been Chrysler products. As you see hear, some have good experiences, but I don't think it's worth the chance.
