Advice needed on Cabo excursion

We have reservations for the Cabo Resort Pool Getaway for next weeks cruise. This was our second choice, our first choice was the Cabo Beech Break. I was thinking about canceling our pool getaway (while I still can) and take my chances to book the Beech break when we get on board. We just want to spend the day at the beech. What do you think?

In cabo it was easy to take the tender to the dock. Once at the dock there were a lot of "water taxis" to take you to the beach. We paid $40.00 for 4 adults. The "taxi" driver took us on a little tour - out to pelican rock, seal rock, to see the arch etc. Had a glass bottom boat (as do a lot of them) and saw lots of tropical fish. When we got to the beach we had negotiated for him to be back at 2:30 to pick us up and he showed up promptly.

Now - it was easy to get out of the taxi when it hit the beach...you go over the side and wade through the water. Getting back in (because the water was rougher at this point) was a little more difficult but doable....climbing over the side as the waves came in.

Hubby and I did the Cabo Beach Break and honestly it was just ok. We are not really water people, but other people did jet skis and parasailing. The water was COLD. There were not enough lounge chairs for everyone and some people had to sit in chairs and complained about that. They said you got free chips and salsa, and I had to go ask and wait forever for them! You did get two free drinks that server would bring. The other thing that was real bothersome was all the venders coming up to you. Here we are trying to lay out and relax, and they shove the stuff in your face!! Anyways, if you want to do the water activities, I guess it is ok, but just to hang out, the water was cold and the atmosphere was not that desirable. Hope that helps. Just one opinion though.
