Hi all! DH and I will be coming to DL/DCA for our second time during the Avengers Half Marathon weekend. I am doing the race with DD22, who has never been to California!! DS25 and his fiancé live in L.A. and they will be staying with us. They have been to DL and DCA several times. We are staying 11/14 (Fri) and 11/15 (Sat) off-site and then Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs at the GCV, and we will all have 5 day hoppers (DD will have a 3 day hopper).

I was thinking of going to the Expo and dinner in DTD on Friday, and MM in DL on Saturday, since we'll be going to bed early that night for the race on Sunday. I thought we could go back to DL Sunday evening for fireworks and whatever attractions we can see (depending on how DD and I feel). We will also be switching hotels after the marathon. Then, EMH on Mon at DCA. DD is leaving on Tuesday, so we won't be going to any parks. The rest of the week is site-seeing and using the other 2 days of our tickets during the rest of the week.

My question is, is that a good plan? I'm hoping that DH and I will still be on east-coast time, so waking for the mornings won't be too painful, since we have to get up so early for the marathon. DD is coming from CO. But do you think we should avoid MM/EMH mornings and do the opposite park? I think it's going to be a crowded weekend and I am wondering how to do it without making everyone crazy with my planning and waking them early so we could be at rope drops...that's how they spent their childhood trips in WDW ::yes::

Any advice on which days and order of attractions for us adults would be greatly appreciated!!:worship:

Definitely take advantage of EMH at DCA once you are onsite...that is part of the reason you are paying the big bucks. Now, MM at DL is a different story. I usually pass personally. It can be incredibly crowded and only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open. More guests are in FL than TL typically.
