Advice for solo trip

Hi guys. I plan on a solo trip this summer. This will be my sixth trip. I have always traveled with my now 17YO DS who now says Disney is boring. Whatever! My DH has always refused to go. Says he hates Disney. Again, whatever!

Anyway, my first choice is the Poly GV Conceirge. However, there isn't a hot tub.

Second choice is AK Conceirge. I would like to save that experience for my DS because eventually he will want to go back.

So what do you think? I really want a hot tub. Since I am traveling alone, I would like to be at a resort with interior rooms and everything in the same building.

Got any suggestions?

Thanks,

Becky

Hi, Becky,

I had a chance to have two days solo before my sister and her family joined me last September..Stayed at Wilderness Lodge (3 Hot Tubs) that are beautiful.

I felt very safe and just loved being able to do what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it. Plus received great rate and upgrade. (Oh! and I love your name)

My choices would be The Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary... both of these are centrally located to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. They also have Hot Tubs and everything is located in one building. Next choices would be: Swan and Dolphin Resorts. These are closest to EPCOT and MGM Studios. They have an awesome pool and hot tub as well. There are more entertainment and restaurant choices with these hotels and it is more of an adult atmostphere. The Boardwalk is nearby and lot's of evening entertainment is within walking distance.

Have a great solo trip! I know I always LOVE mine!

Take it from a fellow Solo traveler... I just stayed at the WL and I plan to go back without a doubt!! It was a fabulous resort..and one of my most favorite things about it... hard to pick on.. but it was a favorite.. was the Hot Tubs... they are heavenly!! I met a new group of people every night (without it being crowded!) and I spent about 2 hours every night at the hot tub (ummm I mean 15 minutes in the hot tub.. just like the sign says!! :p ) This resort is high on my list for a return... On my last trip I stayed at the Swan.. and although I enjoyed that also.. just not as much.. you can't beat the location... However.. I would choose the Dolphin over the Swan.... so... I would say Wilderness Lodge if you prefer alot of resort time and proximity to the Magic Kingdom.. and Dolphin if you prefer more park time.. outdoor stuff.. boardwalk.. walking distance to MGM and/or EPCOT... so... I hope I helped a little!!

Enjoy your trip!!

I think I'd go for the Poly or any of the resorts in the vicinity of the Boardwalk on a solo trip. Good pampering with a number of social settings for singles available.
