We are flying from JFK to Orlando (MCO) and I have no idea how long it will take to get to the airport for our flight.

We are staying in Times Square and our flight leaves JFK at 9.00am on a Tuesday morning. How long will it take to get to the airport? I am wanting to book a town car for pickup and then to take us back to the airport and am just unsure what time to book the town car for that morning to JFK.

Have just had an email to let me know that our flight has just changed to take off half an hour earlier (we were due to leave at 9.30am), so we now arrive at Orlando half an hour earlier, so more WDW time :cool1:

JFK can be fine, or a nightmare. I would let the limousine service decide on your pick up time. It's their job to get you to your flight on time. I live within a reasonable drive from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark. But, I won't fly out of any airport except Islip/MacArthur on Long Island. Best airport ever! With JFK, one accident on the Belt Parkway, and you are sunk. Just stress to the car service that you are willing to leave earlier than necessary, so as to guarantee you will make your flight. You will be fine!:thumbsup2

I would have the car service pick you up no later than 7 am. I live 20 minutes from both JFK and LGA and I leave my house at least 1 1/2 hours before any flight just because traffic is so un predictable. It would be better for you to be at the airport earlier rather than later and stressing about making your flight should there be traffic.

I would ask to be picked up at 6:30 unless the car service company recommends an earlier pick up. It's a little before rush hour and barring anything crazy give you ample time to get to JFK with plenty of time to spare.

If you don't want traffic to be an issue the airtrain is an option. You can get a LIRR train to Jamaica then switch over to the Airtrain. I did it once and it took about an hour to go from my desk (near Penn Station) to the gate.
