(June) We booked Cinderella's breakfast at 10am, and are looking for a fun place for dinner, without the characters, for a family of five (three girls, ages 10, 3 and 1). I'm planning on being in the MK through lunch, and then resting at the resort for the afternoon .. maybe Fantasia Golf in the evening. Ideas on a fun place to take the family for dinner, that's not overkill on the stimulation? We'll get that at Cindy's breakfast, and that's enough for the day!

If you are going to Fantasia golf why not eat on The Boardwalk?? A lovely place to walke around & eat.

I guess it would depend on where you are staying. If you're thinking of doing Fantasia Gardens in the evening (which is a whole lot of fun!!) my dd, 12, suggested you try Spoodles over on the Boardwalk.
If you like seafood type meals, you could try the Clambake over at the YC/BC.
WE have eaten at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and it was very good. Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge was excellent but I'm not sure how non-stimulating it would be!!

We're at the Wilderness Lodge, and I thought about Whispering Canyon .. but it's just so loud! :)

There is a great charcter meal at gullivers in the Swan. It was quiet and there were only 2 characters. It is very close to Fantasia gardens. I know you said no more character meals but this one is not as crowded as the others. If you go on Friday or Monday you would Dine with Rafiki and Timon. It is the only place that has them for a meal. The rest of the week it is Goofy and Pluto

WCC is so much fun for the kids. I'd have to recommend that.

A couple of people have recommended Spoodles. While dh and I enjoy Spoodles (a bunch!!), it's not a very "fun" place for kids. Our 3 children enjoy the food, but they generally just want to eat and "get going" when we eat at Spoodles.

O'Hana is another fun dinner option. We haven't eaten there since the menu changed, but we have had many, many enjoyable meals there in the past. The view is awesome, too!

My son loved the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney. Huge fish tanks and lots of pretend animals to keep them entertained.

My kids love Ohana and WCC. Boma would be another good choice.

I would have to agree with O'hana's. My girls really loved the hula hoops and doing the coconut roll. (pushing a coconut around with a broom.) And we all enjoyed the food. :wave2:
