Been out all evening, but wanted to make sure to say CONGRATULATIONS to the new panelists!! As sad as I am to have not made it in, I do realize that getting this far is quite an accomplishment and am proud.

Congratulations to Everyone! Wow, 10 DISers so far, that's more than 1/2 of the panel!!! I know we'll be very well represented by all of you. I look forward to putting faces with the names and reading your answers to the questions and seeing new videos. You are about to embark on what I can only imagine is a year of hard work, fun, new friendships, and of course, MAGIC!

And a special note to all of those who didn't make it... There is always next year. Look at those that made it this year, but were in your shoes last year. But your feelings do matter, so you are entitled to a little sadness and disappointment. But remember something that always makes me feel better..."To get a rainbow, you have to go through the rain and storm first!"

Once again, congrats to all of you for making it this far! Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks so much to everyone for all the congrats and well wishes....and a huge to those not on the panel. I made it all the way to round three last year also and was not picked. I was crushed and so upset and almost did not try again this year...now I am so glad I did.

Congratulations to everyone who made the panel! I am so happy for you and I hope you continue to post and let us know how it's going.
For those of you that did not make it this year my heart truly goes out to you. I only made it to Round 2 and was so disappointed to not make it any further so I can only imagine how you are feeling now. Try to keep in mind that it was quite an accomplishment to make it all the way to Round 3! I wish I could have traded places with you! There's always next year,right?

I have to admit, the support for everyone here is overwhelming & awesome. Thank you for being understanding to those who didn't make it (this year) and a BIG CONGRATS to those who did. (Thankfully, enough time has now passed that I can be sincerely happy for those who made it!)

They encouraged me to try again next year as "3 of last year's finalists tried again, and made it through to this year's panel". Have we accounted for these 3?

I was last year. I never really knew what that meant, and I'm assuming because the picked a stellar panel last year the didn't need me

I know how you feel, it's a pretty crummy place to be...but before you know it they'll be looking for your essays for the next panel.

Countdown to December for you now, get all your Christmas shopping done before you go, you won't be able to concentrate on it when you get home after all that training etc. !

It's amazing over half the panel from here! Always new this group was the best when it came to Disney info.

Please don't feel bad about posting your great news and feelings on it. It was just not my year. I keep feeling like I am supposed to be upset or something, but I am not. I truly know this was not my year and who knows we have three great role models on here who went throught the process twice and made it if I want to try again next year.

I can't wait to hear of your adventures and training and get the inside scoop for improving my bachelor's degree in Disney to a PhD like the panelists.

Again to all that did not make it this year, my sincerest virtual hug! I think it is GREAT to see that three people who barely missed making it last year made it this year. Sounds like you all should consider yourselves "FastPass"-ed for next year!

Still not sure if I am the only guy or not, but will have to wait and see. As it is, I will try to take a camera with me to training so we can post up some shots from this year's trip.

To those on the panel for 2009, I am so excited to see you all in just a few weeks! My wife already wants to know all about you all!

Have any of you heard anything about our training schedule yet?

No news here on training yet. If I heard Leanne correctly thru all my screeching and cheering, I think she said Laura and someone else would be calling in next few days to go over travel info, training etc. Can't wait to meet you all!

So here is what happened in my household last night...

Now mind you, DH knows I've been going through the Moms Panel process but to be honest, I think he's only been listening with one ear. When he arrived home from work last night, I told him I made it to the panel. He was shocked. He admitted he didn't realize how serious this had become and told me I need to do two things right away. 1) buy a new desktop computer (our desktop dates back to 2001/2002 and it gives me problems at times) and 2) I need to buy a new digital camera (my camera and my son's camera were both damaged on our trip in August...thanks to Faye!).

I then reminded him that I'd be going to Disney in exactly one month and then it really set in...his wife was going to Disney without the family!
