Congrats Laura How awesome. Just another way Disney is making dreams come true. On side note, I got my email from last year at 5:01 pm on that Friday...(yes I did save it as a keepsake so to speak) and I got my phone call to set up my interview on Saturday around 1:30 CST -I remember because I was in the middle of coaching a soccer game. Then the interview was Tuesday at 1pm CST. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear. My fingers are still crossed!

Thank you all so much for all your well wishes! If you were able to take a glance at what I wrote in my dream diary three years ago, it would give you goosebumps.

I won't tell you what I wrote, but I will tell you that "faith, trust and pixie dust" really works. This is truly my year of a million dreams.

I'm thinking that I will be REALLY busy the next few days, but I will peek in from time to time. I can't wait to meet the next Moms in a few weeks!

The Year of a Million Dreams has been a special time for the members of the WDW Moms Panel. From our first meeting at Coronado Springs, to the tour of Cinderella’s Suite and meeting Meg Crofton, to recently cheering each other on in the Expedition Everest 5K, it’s been a year of possibilities. And yet, the magic continues!

I am honored to be sharing this fantastic news with all of you. One of our Disney Moms begins a magical journey today when she enters Disney World’s Casting building to start her first day as a Cast Member!!

Disney Mom Laura will be given Alumni status on the WDW Moms Panel when she is given her coveted Cast Member pin.

Laura will go through Traditions training today and then begin her new role as Social Media Manager under the directorship of Leanne Jakubowski, the Social Media Director. Laura will be overseeing the WDW Moms Panel and the Mickey Moms Club.

This is a dream come true for Laura!! Last December, Laura told me that it was her dream to move to Orlando and work for Walt Disney World. Isn’t it amazing that from our enchanting endeavors on the WDW Moms Panel that another dream is taking flight? It gave me chills when the news was announced at the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. And I’m all teary-eyed and overwhelmed with emotion as I imagine her first day as a Cast Member.

Dreams really do come true!

Laura and her family are settling in to their new world which has included a date night at the Boardwalk, ice cream with family in Celebration and her daughter’s first week at her new school.

As Laura embarks on this journey, I wish her faith, trust and pixie dust. Hopefully, she’ll send us all a picture debut of her wearing that special Cast Member pin.

Hi everyone,

Lots of exciting things going on around here! Wow, Laura, what a dream come true, it looks to me like you really are having a "Year of a Million Dreams".

Kim, you had such a warm and sweet annoucement, I bet that really made Laura feel great. How kind of you!

It is really neat to have all the current panelists cheering us on, how awesome!

I am excited for all the new people going on to the 2nd round, I bet the wait is tough! Just remember to be proud of what you have already accomplished, making it from 20,000 to a very limited number of people in round 2 is very exciting in and of itself. Your love for Disney is already shining! You seem like a great bunch of people!!!! CONGRATS on making it this far.

On to other things, we woke up this morning to a very pretty thin layer of frost on the grass, the fall leaves are at their peak and it is a wonderful sun shiny day! It is a great day have a warm cup of coffee and then throw on the thick wool sweater and kick up the leaves as DD4 and I take a nice long walk. Pure heaven!

Then little Jessie and I have some work to do, every year in late fall, when Indian summer comes and the sun warms up the west side of our house, we have hundreds of ladybugs and box elder bugs hatch. Most of them hatch outside, but lots of them hatch in the window screens and either get stuck between the window and the screen or come on in our house because we have the windows open. We got most of them out but there are lots of stragglers hanging around...and in our house, we don't kill bugs, we put them outside. Needless to say, we have some work to do. Thankfully, Jessie isn't afraid of the bugs, she picks them right up and tosses them outside. It is so funny! The older girls wound NEVER do that!
