Hi All,

I guess 19,999, with round 2 Oct 17.

To those on Facebook...I am just getting set up, and I tried to find the MMC flair posted a while back. I tried the "search" feature, but I can't seem to find anything. I was just going page by page, and I ran across a super cute button that is a lime green Mickey head with the caption "Resistance is futile." This appeals to the trekkie in me as well!

I would love to find the "Mickey Moms Club" flair...

Try searching for: Disney moms

I just did and the Mickey Moms button was the only one that came up, however it might come up for me because I am the one who put it in there. Not sure how their search works.

Please let me know if that works for you.

Again, this could be coming up for me because I am the one who put it in there. I am curious to see if you can find it using either of these queries. Please let me know. Thanks!

Well, I still find it hard to believe they haven't reached 20,000...so, I'm going to say:

20,000+

Who knows, maybe there is a computer glitch that can't shut down the system...or maybe they are leaving it open for all who want to join the Mickey Moms Club...but only accepting the first 20,000 entries for purposes of the panel selection.

As far as a date, I'm going to stick with what was posted on the website - November 1st...and if anything comes out before then, it will be a pleasant surprise!

I think November 1st is still an agressive timeline to read all those entries. AND, how do we know there will be a second round (like last year)? What if they go directly to the phone interview on 11/1? That would put us back on track for the same timeline as last year.

But I do think there will be a round 2 of essays...and now that we know what the Moms Panel is, how cool would it be for Disney to select 3 questions that were actually submitted to the Moms Panel? Round 2 contestants could answer as if they were on the panel. I think it would be a great way to judge!

My son and I got on an earlier flight this morning, and now we're hanging at the Admiral's Club in the Miami airport. So, I get to surf a little bit.

I haven't read anything that says that current Mickey Moms Club members are automatically included in the club next year. They might be, but I don't know why you'd risk it. How hard is it to submit three responses on the application site?? They don't have to be good, nor do they have to be long!

You're right, Rat Boy. I went ahead and submitted an application for the current panel. I at least want to remain in the Mickey Moms Club!

Those note cards are pretty nifty!

Thanks for sharing this with us Scoopy. What lovely cards and the box they came in is sweet to.

My local Disney store recently had blank note cards on sale in the Snow White theme. The box was really cute and there are either 12 or 16 cards and envelopes inside. It was marked down to three bucks!!! Not the same as the cards the Moms Panel got, but they are still very sweet and I love to use them.

Well it's past midnight and it appears the search is officially closed. The website says:

Our application period has concluded at this time. Your interest in the panel
is very important to us. Please come back in January and meet the new panelists.

Good luck to all who applied. Here's hoping I have a chance to be a Disney Dad panelist. You would think with 16 people they might go with 2 Dad's this year?
