Adventures of the "Moms" Panel

I was thinking about this event today, and how we have a fellow DISer that was able to purchase a ticket for himself and then attended the offsite Disney event. I wonder where tickets for events like this one are sold. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm wondering if advance tickets were available for purchase through the World Science Festival web site/organizers, since there's a "Return to Shopping Cart" link following each event description. (Incidentally, there's an "E-mail Sign-up" available in order to receive details about future Science Festival-type programs and events.) I believe bradk mentioned that he learned about the event via a press release... He's from NYC, so I'm sure that helped.

I read somewhere that tickets for the session cost $12 each -- although I can't remember the source. (I'll keep looking...)

About the World Science Festival: I'd like to add that there also was a free WSF Street Fair, where Disney's Audio-Animatronic Lucky the Dinosaur appeared.

'Looks like the participants provided plenty of cool activities and character appearances to keep all kids -- and kids at heart -- busy.

FYI, several of us participated in a podcast interview on Mike Rahlmann's "Be Our Guest" podcast (see www.beourguestpodcast.com or search for "be our guest" in the iTunes store) last night. It was a lot of fun to talk with Mike. He's a great interviewer - very relaxed and natural, with good questions. It should "air" on June 30.

Also, keep a look out for a new "feature" on the Moms Panel site any day now (Maybe tomorrow?). I'll leave it at that.

I have been reading the thread here for a while now, but always just enjoyed reading, as I liked hearing about the adventures, but didn't feel I really had anything to contribute, but..

I would like to thank Bret, Erin, Kimberly, and Laura for coming on our podcast last night. We will air the show next Monday, June 30. It was a very fun podcast, as we talked about some of the experiences that are unique to the lucky and talented folks on the panel! We also talked some planning advice and just some fun stuff!

I hope to have you all back on the show again! You all were a blast to talk to, and I really do appreciate your passion and your time!

Mike: Thanks for visiting us over here! We all agree that it was fun being on your show. Hope poeple enjoy it. You might like to know that some folks from Disney also say they "Can't wait to hear it!"

Diane: I saw that thread as well. I was surprised (I shouldn't be, I know) to see someone posting that the Panel responses are influenced by Disney. I am still amazed at how many people think that Disney influences/controls what we say. I guess the Moms Panel is such a huge shift in communication approach for Disney, that many people assume (incorrectly) that there must be some "catch."

I guess we'll have to do some more PR work?!

Still nothing....since Bret apparently isn't going to give us further clues...anyone up for some fun speculation?

My guess would be it has something to do with blogs...and I'm only guessing that due to the recent Mom's blog convention and the fact that two of our Mom's attended.

Any other ideas?

My guess was going to be a website for the Moms Club members? With a newsletter, and that kind of thing...but I bet you're closer!
