Secondly and I guess lastly!!! I have an extra magnet!! My DH applied for the mom's panel and so did I, so to our surprise two packages arrived. If you would like it, I would love to send it to you, just PM me your address.

It's also fun to catch a glimpse of the close relationships that have formed among the Panelists through your playful banter this morning on this Board -- at least I hope that's all it is!! (You folks are funny! )

It was playful banter. The friendships we've formed on the panel have been one of the best, and most unexpected, side benefits of the entire thing.

It's been extremely helpful to have a built-in group to help with questions (both on the site and off), do reality checks with, and just generally support in whatever way necessary.


And on another note. The whole magnet sharing thing is so nice. (I feel the Disney love just radiating from all of you ). I don't think I saw this mentioned before (forgive me if I'm wrong), but isn't it possible that people are stealing magnets just for the purpose of re-selling them on eBay. How sad is that.


And on another another note. A family friend and our church's Sunday school director both donated their hair to charitable organizations, as have several other children in our neighborhood. The largest program is called Locks of Love. It's something very tangible that kids can do for other kids in need. It really helps them understand how lucky they are to be healthy.



Alright, back to piano practice supervision and the evening's OCD/ODC session of answer questions on the Panel.

Wow...I just went back to Ebay...the seller was in DUBLIN, Georgia! I should have MARKED my magnet!

I wonder how far Dublin is from ALPHARETTA where I was shopping!

Now...on to MAPQUEST....maybe I should e-mail the seller....Hmmmm...I'm gonna do it....

The listing says it came from her packet....it probably did.....

Very interesting concept though Erin. I sure hope that's not true, and if it IS true, I hope they learned a lesson from this recently-ended auction (that only ended at $.01)!!

Wow...I just went back to Ebay...the seller was in DUBLIN, Georgia! I should have MARKED my magnet!

The only reason I thought of this is that earlier this year a good friend of mine was traveling through Newark airport with her family. Four kids, usual craziness at security with four kids. When they get to their destination, they find that their family video camera that was in their carry-ons is missing. They don't know what happened, maybe they lost it, whatever.

It was an older camera that they really liked and had a bunch of accessories for. So my friend goes on EBay to replace it and finds one for sale that's the same model as her old on. She bids and wins for about $120. The seller sends it to her. She opens up the "new" camera to put a tape in and sees that there is a tape already in the chamber. Then she sees her own handwriting. The tape in the chamber was the last one she had used filming her own family!!! She bought back her very own camera from someone who had obviously stollen it at Newark airport. Absolutely true story.

They called EBay, our local police, and Newark security, but no one really wanted to help. They all said that this is not altogether uncommon and for small items and it's difficult and rarely worth it to investigate.

Anyway, if people are stealing cameras for resale, why not magnets?

Or maybe the theif is just a thoughtless vandal. Either way, it's not fun.

I started out trying to do something nice for someone and it turns out that all of you have put such a smile on my face by saying such nice things for something that was really a non brainer on my end.
