Have always wanted to go and have been in 3 times but nothing ever seems to be going on. I have read information describing it as the "most Disney-like" of all the Pleasure Island venues. What am I doing incorrectly??

How long have you stayed? While there is often something happening in the main room, if you walk in while a show is happening in the Library you may find the main area quiet. I suggest getting a drink and staying at least long enough to finish it. By then, you should be experiencing the fun!

i still don't get it. i've been there about 4 or 5 times, and there seem to be too many inside jokes for anyone new to understand what's going on.
we usually just hit a couple shows at the comedy warehouse.

Give the place at least 1/2 hour. Go downstairs and take a seat in the main lounge. Get thee to a barstool if one's available, even if you don't drink (and shame on you if you don't). We hit the AC right after the early Comedy Warehouse show and usually end up staying the night. There are 3 or 4 different 20 min. shows in the library as well as shorter 'presentations in the Mask room and Trophy room, I think the non-Mask room is called the Trophy room but I could be wrong. In the main lounge there is an induction ceremony for new members (you), dialogue with the Colonel and the Goddess on the wall whose name escapes me right now (maybe you shouldn't drink after all) and constant interaction with the permanent members.

There seems to be a small but vocal minority that just doesn't 'get' the concept, but you won't know if you don't give it time. I'd fly from Pa to Orlando just to go here.
Kungaloosh!

There are a few big shows during the night, which take place in the library, and some smaller ones over in the mask room, etc.

They have a New Member Induction in the main salon around midnight, which is a lot of fun if you can make it!

In between shows, you can usually find a character or two socializing with the crowd in the main room.

I have been there several times. Each time I go on I tell myself I've done this before so I'll just see one show then go. Then I end up staying a couple of hours.
One time the maid sat in my lap :lovestruc
That Samantha Sterling is pretty good looking in that safari outfit too:teeth:

okay I guess I know why I spend so much time there :p

Attend the "Balderdash Cup" show, takes place about 9:30 in the library.

That show sets up the story for the rest of the night.

The goddess on the wall is called Babylonia.

And the other room is the "Treasure Room."
