Hi everyone. :)

Please forgive me if this is a weird question!!!!!

BUT....

Do you have advent calendars in the States? (Little calendars with 24 doors, with a chocolate behind each one, and you open a door per day in December to count down to Xmas.)

I don't really want a chocolate one this year, and was wondering if I could get any cool disney ones in WDW? I know you can get Lego ones with a little man or accessory each day, and would love something along these lines but Disney themed.

yes we have them here. I see them at the dollar store but dont know that I have ever seen a Disney one

I don't remember seeing any Disney ones but I did buy them in the WS the shop in Germany.

My kids love the Lego one. Playmobile also makes one with little plastic toys in it. I've never seen a Disney one.

Disney has them! We have had them the last 2 years. I bought them at WDW in November. They were the kind with chocolate in them.

ETA: The chocolate ones were the only disposable type I have seen there. But I think the Christmas Store sells a felt set with pockets for each of the 24 days and little things that either go in the pocket or come out, can't remember which. More expensive because it is not meant to be disposable.

Thanks everyone. :)

I quite like the thought of getting a nice one I can re-use year after year.

I will make sure to have a good look around the christmas shop. :)

found this site that has hundreds of different advent calendars - religious, traditional, filled with chocolate, etc:

going to request a catalog from them right now myself!:yay:

We have nice fabric ones that we reuse every year. You snap a different "ornament" onto the tree each day. Then each year we got DD the playmobile advent calendar, where you get a toy each day and by the end you have a Christmas playset . One year it was Santa's workshop, one year a manger scene, one year the reindeer barn, etc.

I have seen some cute Disney ones as well. The Christmas shop at DHS has several, I think.

Target had a whole bunch of neat ones last Christmas.

:)

I was going to say the same thing. We have a fabric one that we use each year. I have wanted to buy a nicer one but just never have. Maybe I will get one for my birthday this year??

Yep, we have them. We've gotten just cardboard ones where there is a picture behind the door and then a Playmobil one (when we were younger)where each day you get a little Playmobil toy.

We have one that is a wooden box with doors and each year we put little prizes in it for the kids.
