Advance Trip planning-getting a better deal

Hello fellow dis-ers! I have a quick question. We are planning a trip for the end of September/early October 2011. Of course we want the best deal possible! If we book in February when our taxes come in, and they offer a better deal later in the year. Do you cancel and re-book or can you call in and get the better deal? Thanks for your help!!

You can call with the offer code that you want when it comes out, but keep in mind that some offers have limited availability so call when the code that want to use comes out. If they have to rebook your flights, there is a charge, and if you call within the 45 day window for a package there can be a $50 charge to change your reservation.
