Advance reservation questions

How far in advance can I make a room reservation? If a reservation is made can I then send in payments monthly? If at a later date I can get a better rate will Disney automatically adjust the rate or can I call to change it? One more question... if I reserve for example at the Contemporary and no codes are available but they are for another resort can I transfer my previous payments? Sorry for the long list.. I am trying to figure out how I can make payments over several months (hopefully) and still get the best rate. Thank you for any advice!!!

We've never paid monthly, but I'm confident that Disney will take your $$ at any time (LOL).

They will not automatically adjust your rate- you will need to call and ask to have the lower rate applied, or you may have to make a new reservation.

Not sure about transferring payments to a different resort. Perhaps someone else can answer that question?
