Adults....What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

I am trying to get some ideas for my boss actually....she tells me today (Saturday 22) that she and her hubby are going to a party next Sat (29th) and since I "always have wacky ideas" she was wondering if I could think of something for her and her DH to dress up as...she doesn't want to go and buy a real costume, just something that she can get away with kinda cheaply...I told her a hooker and her pimp but that was a quick no no..LOL

Someone else told her Bonnie and Clyde.
I thought I would come here and see if anyone else is dressing up and as what to get some ideas.

Im also going to a party that night, Im going to be the Evil Queen from Snow White and my DH is thinking of dressing as the Old Hag that she turns into but we have to find a costume for him.

So....What are you going as?

Racecar driver. It's a bit of a "racey" outfit, but I'm going back up to college for the weekend to my friend's party. It's not an outfit I'd wear in front of my parents!

No clue what my DH will do yet though...

We were also telling her Sonny and Cher since she has long black hair, but she is really short and he is really tall so it would be the opposite lol

I had a whole bunch of ideas, but my Internet connection wnt down while I was trying to post them, so here I go again...

"Nerds": Easy to do. High waisted pants, tape 'repair' on glasses, buck teeth from party store

"Men/Women In Black": Dress entirely in black. Think Mulder & Scully or Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith from the movie. Sunglasses are a must. Black or dark raincoat would finish off the outfit

"Hippies": Afro or long haired wigs. lots of beads, jeans - bell bottoms would be best. Maybe even draw a peace symbol on the face with an eyebrow pencil, but make sure you use face powder on the symbol so it won't smear

"June & Ward Cleaver": fairly straightforward. June must wear pearls with her dress & apron.

"Toy Story/TS2" characters: lots of choices here. She could go as Tourguide Barbie (from the end of the movie, with half the face messed up because the sister is artistic, remember?) and he could go as "Stinky Pete"

Hope those ideas help. My sister and her family are having a party. I am going as Maleficent with a costume I got on sale from DisneyShopping.Com. I've tweaked the Raven staff, putting Diablo on top of a very nice walking stick I have. The one they send you is kind of cheap, with a very nice Raven("Diablo") on a spring-loaded 'staff' that shakes every time you walk with it. I'll use my stage makeup skills - green up my face with purple accents, block out my natural eyebrows and then put in Maleficent's nasty ones. My DD is going as a "punk" witch. i have no idea what DH is going as.

Well, actually, some might say that I am going as myself ...

Oh, I've always had an affinity for green-skinned witches. My first role was as The Wicked Witch(Margaret Hamilton style) from the Wizard of Oz and my DD loves for me to "do" that line "I'll get you my pretty,...".
Another line of hers that I like is: "These things must be done...'delicately'."

I am going to a halloween party at our local pub.All of my friends know how much i love the color pink so what better then a flamingo,i bought flamingo hat the head of the flamingo is about 18 inches from your head! im going to spray tips of my hair pink,do the eyes pink and sparkly my shirt matches the hat, Jeans with pink feathers on the back side .The best are the pink stilettos i just bought for an upcoming aerosmith concert! pink feather earrings and a matching purse with of course pink feathers attached.It should be quite a sight.

Last year I was Paris Hilton, which was fun.

I always thought it would be easy to do Buffy the Vampire Slayer if you wore trendy high school clothes and carried a stake.

She just told me that her DH mentioned that he might want to go as a vampire so I told her she should dress as Buffy lol

She actually loved all of the ideas from this thread and told me she is going to run them by him tonight..thanks again everyone.
