Adults on First Disney Cruise (?s about Senses Spa and Palo)

Haha I'm hoping it becomes tradition! I'd also like to experience Royal Caribbean because of their rock climbing and ziplining, but Disney cruises sound soooo amazing and I can't wait to sail!

So on embarkation day, you're saying that instead of going to Enchanted Garden, we should eat at Palo for lunch? Is that possible?

I guess I wasn't clear. The other way around. But now that I think about it, I forgot an important piece of information. You won't know your rotation when you book Palo.

No, Palo is not open for lunch.

You can still do enchanted garden and royal court for breakfast or lunch if you miss one of the dinners. Sure it isn't the dinner menu but you still get to experience the atmosphere.

We just got off the Dream on Friday. We skipped AP for Remy's and did Palo brunch during the week. I've done Palo on the Wonder and the Magic and IMHO it was much better then. I wasn't impressed with the new system this time or the pushy waiter who kept telling us we needed to book dinner with them.

However...Remy's is AMAZING. I highly suggest that one.

Ahh ok I see what you're saying. Thanks!

If only... ;)

Do they serve the same lunch food/breakfast food as Cabanas? Or similar food?

Remy's is a bit beyond our budget! But I wish...

Different-ish.

Enchanted Garden is a buffet, but you don't have to hunt fir a table. They will assign you one with a server for drinks, clearing plates etc. The menu has some similarities with cabanas, but is not a clone. I think the quality is better.

The other is a sit an order. Again, you get a table and a server. You will get a menu, and you can make substitutions or requests as well. This is least like cabanas, but again, food quality should be higher.

People like different ones for different reasons. We try to only use cabanas twice a trip if at all possible, instead opting for the service and less hectic atmosphere of the other restaurants

Ooh I think I'd like to go to Enchanted Garden... is that open on embarkation for lunch?

I recommend Sense's "day pass" for the Rainforest over a couple's package. For $16 per person, a day pass gives the adult access to the sauna rooms (both dry and steam), the scented rain showers, the heated rock lounge chairs and quiet hot tubs with an amazing view off the starboard side of the ship. Your parents could enjoy as little or as long a time as they wish in the Rainforest for that day -- and will not feel pressured (or surprised) by tipping expectations. For such a short cruise passes for either 1 day or 2 days would be more than sufficient. The key is to make sure they USE the time. You might have to twist their arms promising to keep your brothers amused and cared for riding the AquaDuck, etc. ;)

On our 3 day dream trip last February they offered the Palo brunch on Nassau day. It may just be something they were experimenting with. I agree with some others, on a first trip they should do all of the dining rooms for dinner.

Haha they usually separate from us kids at some point anyways. I'm definitely thinking of getting them that! It's not a bad price...
I also wanted to get them a massage mainly because I bought them a massage groupon for Christmas but the massage place was super flaky and I ended up having to get a refund. :/ Massages on this cruise are hella expensive haha but I'm willing to shell out money to make up for my failed Christmas present. ;)

Ooooh I hope they end up doing that on my cruise! Crossing my fingers..
