Adults doing kid things in Disney World?

Just be a kid!
I am going for the first time, for my 21st birthday in June. :cheer2:
I am planning on getting my picture with characters, and my own autograph book, and I just purchase some pins and a lanyard on ebay so I can pin trade, the only problem I can see with that is, I'm a little bit shy.

Don't worry.. I'm shy too and once I took the plunge and asked the first CM I saw with a lanyard if I could trade with them there was no stopping me. You'll be fine :goodvibes

DH and I are going to WDW in Oct with out any kids. Glad to see others do the same. I will try to "let loose" a little!

Howdy to a fellow Austinite!!

Ms. H

Oh yes indeed!

Bottom line is if you even THINK you MIGHT like something, try it. We may have gotten an odd look, two grown men climbing in to Peter Pan's ships (we got a chuckle too but 'odd' looks were often just startled looks from young children with kind of surprised looks on their faces :)), but so glad once you get to experience that Disney magic.

Best advice for solos and anyone really is to talk to everyone you meet, you'll never find a better melting pot and most are in great moods and very nice. Always talk to the CM's and ask about their day, you'll often come away with good tidbits, handy info or even better! (I've had more than one give me a set of FP's I swear because we were just being nice.)

Have fun and spread the magic!

I had no problem pin trading with a cast member when i did it. Of course it was several years ago. Matter of fact, several cms wanted
ny goofy pin but i would not let it go.

WE had t shirts made up last year for our Xmas party trip that say 3 big kids at walt Disney World. We got lots of smiles and commets on the cute shirts.
When I make Adr's I always just say 2 big kids
I made myself appts at BBB in DTD and got princessed for the day. My Dh does the villian chasing and I do the Eeyore chasing.

I'm still unclear on this. When you pin trade, can you refuse to trade anything on your lanyard?

Can CMs refuse to trade anything?

Do you offer a pin, and then they tell you which one of theirs they will trade for it, or do you offer a pin for a specific pin on theirs?

Yes you don't have to trade any of your pins at all and nor does the cm's but most of the time they will trade anything they have.
Also you can choose which one you want. Hope that helps.
