Adult pool lovers like me, are you insanely disappointed with the Wish's design??

I’d rather be in a small pool looking out at the ocean than a big pool with a nothing view.

Spent so much time on the fantasy on that little puddle pool in the family area just to look out at the sea.

Also, African food? YUM. Enough steak chicken and salmon already—I’m on vacation and want dinner to be interesting. My kids can order off the kids menu if they aren’t feeling adventurous.

The Wish is doing right by this adult.

Its much better to have areas where everyone can use, especially on a family cruise, it seems Disney agrees.

Then why do they have so many large areas dedicated to only kids or babies or teens if they're into areas for everyone to use? 🤔

As a family cruise, if they're going to have so many kids only areas, surely it's fair enough to expect to decent adult only areas too. Areas for all the family...

Unless you are planning an inaugural season cruise, inwoukdnt worry about the Avenger menu. They menu will be dumbed down massively.

I'm intrigued to see if DCL move to more uncharged items on a menu - paying for things like lobster and fillet steak etc.... I feel like there will be opportunities all over this ship to squeeze money out of people!

I was really excited at the idea of having the adult pool and Cove Cafe right at the aft of the ship. Once I saw the mockup photos, that excitement wore off substantially. There's *that* angle in particular where it seems to have no room left with only 2 people in it. Crossing my fingers that's just a quirk of the photoshop mockup and that the proportions are out.

I also hope that the rendering is just not indacative of actual scale. I really hoped there would be a Satellite Falls type area. That is where we spend most late afternoons.
I wondered if the smaller scale may be intentional—if you look at the way it and the family pools are segmented into separate “pieces” could be to promote travel parties taking turns in the pool while social distancing.

Then again, the hot tubs on the dream class are even smaller and always seem to fit at least a dozen people, so maybe I am overthinking.

Honestly, I've always felt that the pool on the Magic (We have never been on the Wonder) Is too big. I rarely see people in there. Most of the time people don't actually swim swim anyway. Usually they are just relaxing in the water. Having the smaller plunge pool style with the infinity edge on the back of the ship may be more beneficial.

If I was going to ask for anything, it would be more hot tubs and Satellite falls! It would be great if that was on some of the "unannounced" areas. Looking at the interactive deck plans there was a "deck 15" but nothing labeled on it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Where have you sailed on the Magic, where you haven't seen a packed adult pool? I wonder if it was in the Med, where the weather is no where near as nice as the Caribbean? Because each time I've sailed on both the Magic and Wonder, the adult pools are jam packed on sea days. Thats why I love their pools so much, and wish they were still going to the Bahamas and Caribbean! Wishful thinking.

We've done two sailings on the magic, both were the San Juan to Miami repo cruises (Which I HIGHLY recommend although I'm bummed this years is a 4 night instead of the normal 5 night). There were people in the pool, but it was busy, not crowded. There was plenty of room at any point I walked by the pool throughout the cruise. The majority of the time the pool was completely empty. We don't travel with kids usually so we spend almost all of our time in the adult exclusive areas.

There's more spaces that need to be revealed, but so far I'm disappointed by a clear adults-only area as seen in The District on the Disney Dream. The adults-only space currently looks far too small.

I do understand this concept. And I am not expecting olympic size, just comparing it to the size of the Magic and Wonder. I guess I'm expecting too much and I gotta somehow get myself back on those ships. I enjoyed that experience the best.
Never found time to swim on our cruise on the Magic. Too many other things to do. I did swim once on our Alaska cruise on HAL. There was a heat wave, air temperature was about 75, pool was heated to 80 I think. My wife got an amazing photo of my kids and I in the pool with a glacier calving in the background

I'm not sure if others have mentioned it, but if you look at the video and the photos release the all say "Artist Rendering" which means this isn't likely the FINAL design or size of any of the spaces, just a concept of the design that they're hoping to convey to the public as an promotional plan. I wouldn't expect these spaces to be exactly like what you see. They often change and reconfigure spaces on ships in the final stages of construction to accommodate seating or engineering needs.

More of an adult only puddle than a pool...🤣

But yes, its important to remember that it is just an 'artists impression'....it could be even smaller in person... just kidding 😉

it seems like this is the trend in the cruise industry now from what I can tell. We sailed the allure in 19 and thought those pools were way too small for how big the ship is and how many passengers there were. Feels like pool and deck space for just relaxing is going by the wayside in favor of more activities

Its not a lack of adult "space" I'm so disappointed with. Its the size of the adult POOL itself and how its married to the Cove Cafe, as in on top of each other that I have a problem with.

Exactly I think its that specific piece that is bad. I am still hopeful about the rest but we will see.

If all of deck 5 turns out to be shared space then I will be completely disappointed to have no adult only areas. Also honestly the adult only area on Fantasy we were not in all the time because it was simply just bars....

They need adult space which is more than just bar here and bar there.

The pool doesn’t appear to be any smaller than the one on the Dream and Fantasy and on those ships it’s also directly adjacent to the Cove Cafe.

Just curious, not being negative or argumentative or anything,
for those disappointed in the adult pool area, what would you be happy with in that area??
Realizing that a ship has limited space to fit everything in to try to make it attractive to all types of customers. It does appear that there is an area directly above the pool deck for lounges. There is a covered area with seating in front of the bar for those who aren't sun worshipers, above deck for loungers in the sun.
I've been on 12 cruises, (4, 5 and 7 nights) and spent time in the adult area on each cruise. The adult pools on all of the ships were seldom "full" there were a few people in the pool, or sitting around the edge. There was always seating available. Maybe I was just lucky. I think the 2 hot tubs is a plus as the adult hot tubs did get crowded. Also this area being at the back of the ship will eliminate being traversed by kids. The past problem was that there were to many kids walking through the area due to placement of forward elevators.

ETA: LOL, wrong board. This was about the laundry. haha!

Oh it sounds like it might be quite big! Thanks for the perspective. While it won't be super convenient for many of the staterooms, it might be great to have the machines all together. Because with separated laundries, there might be a washer available in one laundry room and a dryer nobody's using in another. This way, they're all together and if there's an open machine you can find it and use it!

yeah agree. The pool on the Fantasy/dream is quite small and looks bigger on the deck plans because half of it nothing but a adult splash pad type thing connected to the bar. I never experienced it full on my cruises. I agree it’ll be better in the back and honestly that view looking off the back of the boat in that infinity pool is going to be spectacular and is going to beat the pool on the other ships because of that

I think people should probably wait and hold off on all the complaints on stuff like this until we see the real ship. Like someone else posted these are all just artist renderings and probably won’t be 100% accurate/to scale and some things may change
