Adult pool lovers like me, are you insanely disappointed with the Wish's design??

Black Panther is based in Wakanda which is a fictional country on the continent of Africa. Also, there are some AMAZING African dishes. By mix, they probably mean a variety of different dishes. Some American cuisine (aka for kids) and more adventurous food for the adults.

Completely agree that African food can be amazing! I am the least adventurous eater out there (with allergies too) and I have loved eating on cruises, they really make sure there is something for everyone (I even had an amazing meal at Remy despite my allergies and pickiness). My husband is much more adventurous and really wanted to try an Ethiopian restaurant in Atlanta - while I was nervous about liking the food is was beyond spectacular and is now one of our go to places. Definitely outside my comfort zone but well worth it. (Shout out to Desta Ethiopian Kitchen in Atlanta if anyone is local to me!).

I'm trying to wrap my head around sitting in a hot stew with strangers post-Covid!!! No thanks.
I don't like hot tubs much anyway (way too germy to me) so obviously not a perk for me.

The pool situation will be fine. Really, it will be. All these "concerns" and complaints and the thing hasn't even set sail yet. Scrutinizing artist renderings and being upset doesn't seem like it's worth the worry at this point. The Wish is going to sell out faster than you can say "take my credit card" with thousands of people itching to go.

what would you be happy with in that area??

The only pool area is essentially the equivalent of those two hot tubs that are on the side of the fantasy. Maybe it's a little bigger but you are missing the large circle water fall area and the pool area as you exited the elevators.

Also there was a toddler and other splash pad area on thr Fantasy which is now just the Toy Story area.

On top of that the mini golf area is gone.

What did they seem to replace it with? A flat deck family area for sun tanning.

I disagree if there was a 3x3 pool area I can 100% say that is too small. Just like based on what is mocked up here (with a small pool between two hot tubs) is also going to be too small based on it probably being 1/3rd the size of the Fantasy adult area and that already being full from my trip (which was in December even).

My big beef is that I have to walk to the stern to get coffee. Well, good coffee that is. The swill at the soda station doesn't really count. Sigh. First world problems

No idea what the Avengers restaurant is going be. Hopefully, they didn't replace potentially good food for entertainment.
Hi. I was thinking that it may be on a few different laisy-susan type settings thru out the dining area with one large one in the middle of the room. Maybe then they can showcase all of them without ruining the actual dining experience for those who may not be so excited about them?

What would I like? The adult pools on the Magic and Wonder. I know, we can't go back, but that is exactly what I want. It had tons of lounging area and seating. The pool was an actual pool, for the number of potential adults on a day at sea. For those that are saying, that they haven't seen this area packed, haven't been on the cruises that we've been on. All of them were to the Bahamas and the weather was gorgeous on sea days, those pools (on the Dream too) were jammed with people!
Just curious, not being negative or argumentative or anything,
for those disappointed in the adult pool area, what would you be happy with in that area??
Realizing that a ship has limited space to fit everything in to try to make it attractive to all types of customers. It does appear that there is an area directly above the pool deck for lounges. There is a covered area with seating in front of the bar for those who aren't sun worshipers, above deck for loungers in the sun.
I've been on 12 cruises, (4, 5 and 7 nights) and spent time in the adult area on each cruise. The adult pools on all of the ships were seldom "full" there were a few people in the pool, or sitting around the edge. There was always seating available. Maybe I was just lucky. I think the 2 hot tubs is a plus as the adult hot tubs did get crowded. Also this area being at the back of the ship will eliminate being traversed by kids. The past problem was that there were to many kids walking through the area due to placement of forward elevators.

I admit I wonder if one of the reasons they broke one big pool into several small ones would be to cut down on the number of complete shut downs due to a bio spill... the family pool seems to shut down a a few times each cruise for those.

I would be shocked if the Wish inauguration cruise doesn't sell out in the first day of Platinum booking.

Yeah the ship is going to sell out regardless, but I'm failing to grasp its connection to the rest of your post or the topic of the thread itself (the adult pool). The ship selling out won't be indicative one way or the other of how much the pool may or may not suck.

Disney cruise line posted some renderings of the pool from a new video released today. Still not confident in the size.. .... and where will the sun loungers go?

On the sides of the ship going forward. You can see one on picture two and see it on other views from the newest video and that the deck is adults only from the deck plan.

Without a Sattite Falls type area, I feel sailing on the Wish will be a one and done just to check it out. We never do such short cruises, but I figure we can add on to a longer Fantasy cruise either before or after.

I'm not excited about the outdoor adult area on this ship. I much prefer the magic/wonder set up with loungers next to the pool.

Without more details it's hard to know what this space will be like. There will be space dedicated a deck above as well. Adult bars are probably somewhere else like on the Fantasy/Dream. Could there be an additional pool somewhere other than the "sitting pools" we've seen?

I can't imagine they shrunk the adult space too much - or maybe there will be combined spaces that shift during the day (i.e. could a D Club type space exist that is families during the day and transitions to adult at night).

But, the two round pools next to the middle infinity pool look to be hot tubs (with showers also attached).

So much for thinking or dreaming, that Disney imagineers even read our comments or feedback on what we truly want on new ships. A couple of years ago, when everyone was posting what is their number one thing they want on these two new ships, my one and only thing was to make the adult pool as big as the Wonder and Magic. They shrunk it down less than the Fantasy and Dream! I can't imagine how they can go even smaller on the next ship. So unless the Magic comes back to Cape Canaveral, I think I'm done with Disney :(.

No, I'm not disappointed. I've never been in a pool on a Disney cruise. I only do the hot tubs. I have a pool in my backyard, but I don't have a hot tub.
