Hello,
Just booked an unexpected trip to WDW for just me and hubby! We've been married 25 years and we went to DL the week we got engaged and we haven't been alone to DL or WDW since! My husband always blamed ME and my love of Disney on the trips we take-- this time (and I meant it) I said I didn't want to go to WDW :confused3--we are doing business in Tampa for 4 days and now added on Orlando nights--honestly I didn't want to learn the ropes of FP+. HE said we should go to WDW for 4 days! He wants to be those people who leisurely wander the parks eating and drinking....

We just went to DL/CA for one day in November and FP is still the same old system. It was SOOOO busy as it was the Monday before Thxg . I've been to WDW for spring break, it was crowded but nowhere near our THX trip this year. We left around 10:00 pm SO frustrated and worn out.

Anyway, I guess I need to figure out the FP+ system. I don't even know when I have to try to get them....I think I will be buying the tickets with UT again unless USSSA comes out with tickets.

Is it possible to not make dinner reservations for just the two us and get into TS restaurants or would that be crazy? What are your must do restaurants for adult only trips? I did take my parents and brother and sister 5 years ago and they didn't WANT any reservations and that was pretty miserable but there was 5 of us. I probably answered my own question lol!

I think he wants hoppers but I don't know what days we'll be where yet. We'll be staying offsite.

Well, let the planning begin....again....

thanks for any input on no kid trips!! :thumbsup2

Check out Mesaboy's FP+ thread:

He has tons of great info about FP+, so that should get you started. If you're staying onsite, you can make FP reservations 60 days in advance. If staying offsite, 30 days. You'll need to buy your ticket and set up a My Disney Experience (MDE) account before you can make FP reservations, so buy your ticket well in advance.

Regarding your ADRs, I wouldn't count on getting any walk-ups. You might get lucky, but chances are, you'll be locked out if you don't make any ADRs in advance. You don't say when you're going - is it during a slow time, or a crowded time? Are you going during a free dining promotion? If so, it's even more important to make ADRs well in advance, or you'll be stuck with counter service. Myself, I do mostly CS restaurants because I don't want to spend the time with too many TS restaurants - but I do make a few and am glad I have them!

Have fun on your trip!

Thank you very much for the link. I will read it tonight. We'll be staying off site so it will be 30 days. We are going the 4th week of March--spring break and crowded. I didn't see free dining for that time frame. I better start figuring what days/parks and our FP and adr plan of attack!
