has any adults out there slept on the sofa pull out at SSR yet. My mom wants to go and she is willing to sleep on it. just would like to get a review and any tips to a comfortable sleep.

I had heard somewhere about an eggcrate cushion. Do they provided this, or do we have to buy it?

I slept on the sleeper sofa at the BWV, but never at SSR. I'm assuming their similar. I am 5'4" and felt perfectly comfortable.

We had 2 adults on the sleeper for 6 nights at SSR last week. They said it was the most comfortable pull out they've ever slept on.. and they weren't small adults either. ;)

remember you are at WDW - so she will probably be so exhausted that she will fall instantly to sleep.

WDW can wear out anyone.

So yes she should be fine.

I sleep on one - I am either small nor young - I give mother the bed she is 82 and needs it more than I do.

One of my friends used the sofa at SSR in August. She said it was fine. She was probably more comfortable than I was in the king bed with its double-stuffed pillows!

There have been several posts indicating the sleeper sofas @ OKW & SSR use memory foam type mattresses and are very comfortable -- so your mom should be fine!

Funny you mentioned the double stuffed pillows at SSR! I had forgotten about the neck ache they gave me!

I slept on the new sofas at SSR one night. It was SO much better than a regular sofabed...I cannot even describe it. Just as comfortable as a standard bed for me. The mattress is much longer than a regular sofa bed...so most tall people will not have trouble with their feet hanging over the edge. I'm 5'9".

It is firm (like the DVC beds...wish they would put a thick memory foam pad on top of those). If you like a softer pad, call housekeeping for an egg crate pad.

I take my feather pillow everywhere so that I can avoid those overstuffed pillows at hotels.

My husband crashed on the sleeper sofa at SSR a couple nights while we were there in September. He is a big guy, 6'3" and fit on it just fine.

As stated the new sofa beds are wonderful. No huge gap at the top to loose your pillow in, and no hard metal on the sides to scrap your leg on.

The mattress is memory foam and is placed on a solid platform instead of that horrible bar in the back.

The best sofa bed I have ever slept on. Very comfortable and as stated in prior posts no bars and space for your pillow to fall down . . . and it was really great for smaller kids because they're heads can be at the very top and the arms of the couch double as a side rail. I highly recommend the sleep sofas at SSR!

I slept on one at SSR this summer for about 8 nights. It was great! I did not have any trouble sleeping but then again you can get really tired at WDW!
