I just booked a couple of weeks ago for the end of August. I am having a tough time getting ADR's. What are the chances of walking up at around 5 -5:30 and getting a table within a reasonable time?

Thanks

I have to tell you that I think the days of walking up and getting a seat are almost gone....with the dining plan, it has become increasingly difficult to do that.

Are you staying on property, if so, you can go to the guest services at any resort and have them check for seating availability at any restaurant for any day. I would suggest that....you can still try to do walk ups but I have experienced being turned away at the resort restaurants just trying to walk up never mind the highly patronized restaurants in the parks.

We had no luck with walk-ups last week. (family couldn't decide 180 days out).

I did call from the parks 4 days and got it that way .

The hostess doesn't have the last minute cancels in front of her so she sees everything booked.CRO sees the openings and can plug you in.

The resort rest. *MAY* have more availability than the park TS's. Also, is there a better variety available for lunch than dinner? Maybe a nice breakfast instead? ppl are making their ADRs 6 months out now... :confused3

we will be there 8-24/30 and i recently made some ADR changes times for dinner were quite early had to go for 530's for dinner 2 nights asked about time changes and was told that things were getting quite booked keep checking and good luck

I cancelled Sci Fi at 5:20 for Aug 24th yesterday and rebooked for 5:25. I tried a few days ago and nothing was open from 4:10 to 7:30 (I'm trying to give us more leeway for the parade). Means someone cancelled. Keep trying each day and something might pop up. If i can get a 5:30, I'll be cancelling our 5:25.

Thank you all. I booked what I could and I will continue to call and make changes. I actually had "some" luck this morning. Now it is just keeping all straight!

I have an Excell spread sheet with what parks we will be in on what day ,

Events to do ( Parades and shows)

and then Meals with Confirm #'s so it's all right there kept together.
