Our 180 day mark is coming up and was planning on making a couple of ADRs this week and realized we need a disney resort reservation code to make them. The problem - we are still on a wait list for Boardwalk Villa. So I don't have a code. Does that mean I am out of luck? And what are the chances of making a reservation at LeCellier's after 180 days (let's say 170 days.)

You dont need your Reservation code, it asks fora res code or your phone number, once you get a person theyll ask where youre staying so you can tell them. :goodvibes good luck!

At 170 days out, Le Cellier will be completely booked. I called at 180 and got a decent time of 7:15 pm. I thought a little earlier would be better, as I was worried we might miss the beginning of Illuminations. At 177 days out, I could get 4 pm or 8:15. At 175 days out, I could get 8:30 pm. At 173 days out I could get 8:45 pm. They have been booked solid ever since.

This was for a table for 3 (4) in late September before free dining was announced.

The CM will ask for your reservation number. You could go online, make a reservation with Disney for one night (your 180 mark). You would be charged that one night's stay as a deposit on your credit card. Get you confirmation number and make your ADR's. Then cancel the reservation. Your ADR's will remain untouched. The deposit will be refunded. Or you could wait until what you want comes through and transfer the deposit.

Good luck!

Anyone can make reservations at 180 days. You do not need a resort reservation.

However, you will not be able to make 10 days of ADR's at one time. This means you can still make your ADR's but you will have to do it one day at a time as each 180 window opens.

Dining reservations are not tied to resort reservations at all. Otherwise, people staying off site or locals would never be able to make any dining reservations.

Yes, they will ask for a resort reservation number. Simply tell them that you don't have one yet. Disney WANTS you to eat at their restaurants.

Not to hijack, but I had to post... Seriously, guys - what is going on???? I called for a Le Cellier ADR about 90 days before our trip - and that might be generous, it was probably more like 80. We got an ADR for 4 people, and we were able to choose between 6:45 and 7:15 and 8 and 8:15. This is for June 22. We are NOT on DDP, and no kids.

THEN we called about 2 weeks ago and got an 8 pm ADR at Rose and Crown - nothing earlier, but we should still be there for Illuminations - for June 23. 4 people. No kids or DDP.

I am starting to think we should run a little Dis experiment. Both times I was asked if I was staying on site (which we are) and whether we were on DDP...I am wondering - what if you call back and say you're not on the DDP if you get told a restaurant is booked?????

Just an update - I called this morning (about 7:45 eastern time) and was able to book LeCellier for the time I wanted. No Disney resort reservation needed. As another poster said, they are really trying to gather marketing info when ask if you are staying on-site, etc.
