:confused3 If your using a meal plan, DDE, or your on $$$, did you feel to eat comfortably & where you wanted did you need to make ADR's where? and when? :confused3

Thanks, MKY princess:

I would definatly make your adr's ...with the dining plan you probably wont really be able to "walk up" I have heard of many already having problems making the adrs. I usually make an ADR for either breakfast or dinner that way its not right in the middle of our day.I normally only make one per day but some days have 2. It all depends on the location of the restuarant from the park we will be at.

Well that was with my logic too! I have many adr's. But my sister thinks it is over kill / planning of a fan-antic! :confused3 She also is an occassional disboarder but not "seriously addicted". We are going for 18 days so I know that is alot of adr's. We have 1 a day, usually just dinner, some breakfast or 2, very early lunch and a late dinner. Figure if our day plan changes we will just cancel, but even march 05' the walk-up was becoming very scarse when we where there, and there is only 2 of us. :earseek: You can only eat so many burgers / chicken fingers! :wizard: Even thou they are pretty good.

We make all the ADR's we think we will need-- usually breakfast and dinner. With two small children who like to eat at certain times we like to know we have somewhere to go. But if we get there and plans change we just cancel them or rearrange them. When we were there in May we heard a few people get turned away when they walked up or had very long waits, but we also like to eat at popular places at rush time.

Of course most of the posters on disboards are addicted to prior planning, so this survey has a bent to it because of that.

It's just that we've blown off our reservation at the Castle and THEN 2 hours later decided we were hungry. I explained truthfully what we did and they STILL bypassed the waiting line to take us next! Those reservation numbers really guarentee you a table no matter when you show up.

Sounds like your honesty paid off. :wizard: ::MickeyMo You really got lucky. I would not of had the spunk to go back and face them. 2 snaps for you!

Pershing, I think you got lucky. We were five minutes late for our "15 minutes past the PS time" window of opportunity, and we were turned away from CRT one night. Had to do some "asking for the manager" type stuff and produce two crying children to get my table!!!!

It depends on when you're going and size of your party. We always do an early December trip don't usually make ADR's. There are only 2 so I think that makes a difference. If we want to do dinner at LeCellier we will make them, they are very popular for the CP Package. My DD is a teacher she can only go at crowded times if we go with her and her DH its usually at Easter. Then we definately make dining plans! I don't know that we'd eat if we didn't since we don't do counter service.

I probably did but then we only go to WDW during low attendance times ie: early Nov and Jan. that could be the difference.
