We will be there for Thanksgiving this year and was curious if adr's for that day will be available at the same 90 day window or will they be available earlier??

Also, anyone have any good recommendations for thanksgiving dinner?

We would like to eat somewhere that has some pretty traditional Thanksgiving fare.

Most restaurants add in some tradtional stuff for Thanksgiving.

We booked Thanksgiving dinner in a park last minute the other year. All the obvious ones were taken (like Liberty Tree.) So we opted for Biergarten. We chose this because our family heritage is German, so the normal food they have out is what we have at Thanksgiving (or any large family gathering!) They added turkey to the buffet that night. It was a great option for us because it still gave us all the trimmings of home! So if your heritage is represented in the WS, I would really consider it!

Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree....two different experiences, but both have traditional Thanksgiving fare. (We LOVE Crystal Palace for Thanksgiving Dinner)

One thing to consider when making your ADRs is will you be in a park Thanksgiving Day or would you rather not enter the parks that day. Thanksgiving Day is very busy and where you eat (if in a park) will determine where you will need to be that day.

I don't think we will be in MK or Epcot Thanksgiving day. So we are looking to resort restaurants. Will they have their Christmas stuff up then?

Christmas decorations are the best part about going during that time of year. You will love the way the castle is lit up, Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios, the deluxe resorts have very cool chocolate displays, Christmas party at MK, Candlelight Processional at Epcot.....just to name a few.

As for dinner at a resort, I think they all provide some sort of traditional fare with what they usually offer. We tried Cape May last year because we didn't want to worry about being in a park and they had turkey and potatoes, etc. along with their typical seafood.

Have a great time, you'll love it.

Was Cape May good? We went this time and was a little disappointed. It is close to BWV, where we are staying which would be nice. Were the Christmas decorations up at the resorts on Thanksgiving?

Also, how was your weather? Were you able to swim??

Cape May was ok to good. I thought it was ok, but my husband and boys loved it.

Yes, decorations were up for Thanksgiving Day. Love Love Love this time of year. We visited WDW during that time of year for the last couple of years. Weather can range quite a bit. There were times we spent a day or two at the water park, yet there were also days when we were glad we brought light gloves, hats and sweatshirts. We're from Minnesota, so it seemed warm enough to swim, but I know others would not think it was warm enough. :sunny:

we ate at 1900 park fare and DON'T recomened it! it was too loud and the turkey was very dry.
i would try The Wave if you want a resort restaurant.

We ate at Boma last Thanksgiving and loved it. The food was mostly traditional (and so good) but also had plenty for our picky kids to choose from (ages 10 & 7). The service was great too! We had the first reservation of the day at 2:00 so there was no waiting.

We LOVE Boma, but have never eaten there for Thanksgiving dinner. They offer turkey and potatoes kind of thing??
