I know people had problems getting their 1st choice when the adrs were 90 days. But has anyone have any problems with getting their 1st choice now that it's back to 180 days? I am asking cause I am starting to plan a trip in Oct and I want to make adr's for lecellier and I was curious if anyone ran into the problem of no ressies available for the week their going?

Also how does online ressies work? is it better to call or use online ressie system? what time would i need to wake up to make ressies (eastern time zone)?

I found that since the 180 day rule came out, it was a lot easier to get the ADRs that we wanted. Even though we have since changed out our ADRs for our upcoming March trip, I was still able to get a Le Cellier for the week we will be there (and this was a few weeks after we booked our trip, which was on New Year's Eve). We also got 50's Prime Time at a decent dinner hour (for our December trip I could not get an ADR for the life of me), also got Akershus before the park opens, and Cape May Cafe breakfast at 9:20am.

To do online booking, just simply go to the WDW website and go to the dining page. Then you just type in the restaurant of choice and the time you want it for the party size. It will then either pop up with your desired time or it will give you a time that is close to the one you want....now if there is no availability, then it will give you suggestions for other restaurants that you may like to try. Online booking is very easy to use, if you would like, try doing a mock booking just to get used to the system, just make sure you don't check out ;). As for what time to get up for it, it is up to you....I am not an early riser, I am not one of those that will get up at 4am to get ADRs for our trip 6 months later. I get up and usually on the computer by 7:30/8am and I still am able to get everything I want. Good luck :goodvibes

i just booked my honeymoon about 2 weeks ago, we are leaving in less than 90 days, and i was able to get the following:

fireworks dinner at Cali Grill for our first night (9pm ADR for 10pm Wishes)
2pm lunch at Sci Fi
2pm lunch at Yak & Yeti
2pm lunch at Coral Reef
9am breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe the day we fly back home

all of those were my first choice. The only thing I had a problem with was getting an ADR at Tonys - it was the place I wanted but the only time I could get was 7:10 dinner, I would have preferred earlier.

We still have to book our dinner for DTD, I told my hubby-to-be he could pick that one. He's trying to decide between Portobello and Fulton's.

I did mine at 180 days yesterday and I got everything I wanted at reasonable times too! So nice compared to last year!!

I was able to get everything I wanted when I was at about 105 days out for our trip in May. However, you must keep in mind that if you are planning on going in October, that is usually free dining time, which means things like Le Cellier and 'Ohana is going to book up fast and you will need ADR's to get into TS type places.

I booked on Oct. 27th when it went back to 180 days and got all my first choices except for Ohana, which I tried for first. I ended up getting in by switching days but still not at the time I wanted. I've been trying almost every day since just to move the time back an hour with no luck. Other than that I easily got all my other choices exactly when and where I wanted them. I agree that online is the way to go.

We just booked our trip 2 weeks ago (we're going in April) and I was able to get every restaurant we wanted.

O'hanas, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Narcoossees, Chef Mickey, 50's prime Time, Crystal Palace, CRT, Kona Cafe, 1900 Park Faire, etc.

I just booked all of our ADR's for 3/13-3/18 with no problem yesterday, except couldn't get Chef Mickey's for the late brunch we wanted! This is a very last minute trip, 6 weeks out. We were very lucky to get Whispering Canyon, Ohana, Boma, Teppan Edo, Nine Dragons, and 1900 Park Fare (instead of Chef Mickey's).
SO EXCITED!!!!:cool1:

I am worried about getting LeCellier. I want to go there twice, it was truly the best meal i ever had at disney! i am worried about booking online. i want to book 180 days in advance plus the 10 days , but when i try to do the mock trial, i only can do the 1st day.
