It's been almost 2 years since I planned a trip...I used TGM in the past and despite some glitches it was helpful. I just asked for the renewal discount and when they e-mailed it to me it also said (among other things)

As of 2009, Disney has returned to their 90-day Reservation Windows for almost everything dining and activity related.

From what I'm reading here, I'm thinking that is not true anymore... is it? I am assuming WDW switched earlier this year to a 90 day window but as of this Fall it's back to 180 days?

If that's true, my bigger issue is that I'm worried about how up-to-date other TGM stuff is too. Any info? Thanks.

They apparently have not changed the email that goes out, but when I log in to TGM, it says that my 180 day window opened on _________.

I have used TGM for the past three trips, and have noticed the site has become more and more dated with each year. A lot of it isn't updated nearly as quickly as it used to be, and last year in March when we went he never did complete the Easter Weekend pages he started and "promised" to finish. That being said, I still use the service, but basically for the daily charts of which park, which days. It is invaluable for that and has never steered me wrong. But your observation is fair.

I'm a 1st timer and I have found TGM to be absolutely invaluable for my planning.

That said, there are a lot of errors here and there, as per your example. I think it's hard for him to cover all the bases when comments such as 180 day/90 day are sprinkled all throughout the system.

I've had to make my ADRs without his information of Least Crowded Parks for May too, as he hasn't caught up since Disney revealed all those park hours in a large batch. But I learned enough from reading his website and from looking at his strategies for other months that I'm confident my guesses will agree with his ideas when he posts them.

Quite often the articles have dates on them so you can tell when they've been updated last.

I haven't seen any other service that supplies the fantastic information TGM does; I think it's going to make a huge difference to our vacation! As long as you use caution, his website is worth it!
