Adr update

Managed to get most of my adr's done now... How very exciting!!

To start with I couldn't get the my disney experience app to link to my resort reservations so I had to make my +10 adr's over the phone. Immediately after making them though they appeared on the app.

I made two more today on the wdw website. Haven't been able to get that to work, either, until today. Again, immediately after making them, they appeared on the my disney experience app which I thought was great, as all the reference numbers are in one place.

Just two more adr's to make. San angel inn for our last dinner (we love that place) and California grill, which we're hoping will be taking reservations before we go! If not, it'll be a last minute dinner somewhere that isn't fully booked...

All in all, pretty happy though. 178 days to wait.

Yeah, no problems thanks. Did that one on the phone. I asked for 6.30 and got 6.25 so guess there was still plenty of space. And that's on the day you arrive I think! Been looking at photos and I think I'm probably most excited about eating there. We'll probably try out the counter service lunch as well.

Ah that's good I hope we get an ADR for there as we don't have the perk of 180+10 days.

Very! Did San angel today so we are now just waiting for Cali grill to become available. Fingers crossed for that one. Just another long countdown now!!

I think you might be best off to book an alternative ADR and cancel if you can get a ressie at CG. They are doing a lot of work at the Contemporary - the 14th Floor is also closed and they are doing more than just a simple restaurant rehab - and as they have yet to set a re-opening date I wouldn't bank on it being open when you go. They usually release set dates for rehabs and this one they didn't so I am guessing there are some complicated issues that have potential to cause delays.

I hope I am wrong but there are no indicators of it opening early.

Glad you got what you wanted so far, I remember what a pain it was to do ours back in feb with the system not letting us do them online too hope you get CG too! They weren't accepting bookings when we did ours, nevermind! Not long to go!

This crossed our mind and we may still do it. We kinda thought if we miss out on Cali grill we will still find somewhere to go but might be best to book a back up

I know, 176 days!! It's seems ages but its actually moving quite quick. Get to book our seats with virgin at 90 days so that breaks it up a little bit.

Ok, just bit the bullet and took your advice. I think it's wise!

We've gone for le cellier. We've only been once before, about 5 years ago, and there's so much talk about whether it deserves its high status or not we thought it might be good to see for ourselves. Plus, we loveeeee steak!

Still gonna try Cali grill though if it becomes available! We'll keep looking.

As we're celebrating our 10th anniversary and our daughter's 3rd birthday, we upgraded to club level. It worked out well for our ADRs as I got the club level guys to do it all for us.
However, I'm also waiting to find out when California Grill reopens as I'm desperate to go there. I've left a request with the club level concierge to book it for us but if it doesn't open in time....oh well
We did manage to get 2 ADRs at Be Our Guest, at least, and at decent times too.

I'm beginning to think I just got lucky with ours! I hear a lot of people say if you keep trying you can get cancellations so I'd day just don't give up. What time were you trying for? We got one for 6.30. Thought that'd give us enough time to eat and then watch MSEP.

Of course, you have the big plus of being there for the food and wine festival. I think I'll have to wait till my daughter is older before I devote my time and drinking arm to that event
