ADR System Upgrade - History

I was told that you could still book dinner shows 180 days from your visit. Is this still correct?

Yes, sort of - CRT, Chef Mickey's, Hoop-de-doo, etc, were taking 180-day reservations for arrivals through June 19. All arrivals after that are on a 90-day window for all dining, including shows.

Can I make my 90+10 ADR's, for the entire length of my trip even though the start date is the exact 90 day +10 mark?

You can start making your bookings exactly 90 days before your arrival date, and on that day you can book for up to 10 days into your vacation (i.e. 90+10 days from the date you are calling).

First, for our Nov 29-Dec 4 trip, I booked through AAA for the first time and the agent did give me a confirmation # - is this the official Disney confirmation # you need to make an ADR or is it a AAA # that will do me no good when I do go to make my ADR's? In the past I've always booked thru Disney directly.

Second, how can you make your ADR's 90 days out if we don't know the park hours? Are they definately released at least 90 days in advance to help people with their planning or is this not a guarantee?

Last, I want to book MVMCP. I believe I can buy tickets for this around May but my 90 day window for ADR's is Aug 31, so how will I know what night we want to go if I don't know the park hours yet or where we want to go/eat each day? Should I wait to buy these tickets until park hours are out and I make my ADR's?

I thought I was a pro at all this until this 90 day thing came along. Help!

This may have been asked, but I couldn't find it . . .

I thought CRT was still 180 days, but when I called today, they said no, that had been changed to 90 as well. Has anyone else heard this? I have never been able to get ressies there and I need to get them for 13 people in August.

I called and made my reservations. She told me that I could actually of called at the 100 day mark as long as I was staying on the park. She also told me that Chef Mickey and Cinderella's Royal Table (I think that is what it is called?) are still 180 days. Was she right or misinformed?

She was misinformed, and unfortunately CM's are frequently misinformed (I'll never forget the infamous "your tip is included with your meal price" that I was told when making a reservation at Crystal Palace)

The first thread of this post explains the reservation system a bit better.

CRT was at 180 up until 6/19 (but obviously that is less than 180 days now.)

and the 90 + 10 does not mean 100 days...it means you can make 10 days worth of reservations 90 days from your arrival day.

so the CM was misinformed...which happens sometimes;)

My 90 day mark for my holiday is June 22nd I can make 10 days worth of adrs then. Does that mean on June 23rd I can make the reservations for the next 5 days?

Hi! I thought I saw somewhere where you can enter your arrival date and it calculates your 90 days prior -where can I find this?? I can't seem to recall where I saw it exactly!
Thanks!

You are partially correct, you may call on 22 June and make 10 days of ADR's. The remaining 5 days of your holiday ADR's may be made beginning 27 June.

I am so excited!! Disney started the new dining reservation system this morning!!!! I called from work to make my reservation for Crystal Palace on May 26th and I was the very FIRST person to make a reservation within the new system!!
The CM was so excited! She kept saying "you're first and I get to make the first reservation!!" It took her awhile to find me, then she "lost" me, but then she got me booked!!
When you call now you will be prompted to push 1 for reservations until May 25th or for chef mickeys or crt, 2 for all others!!
Wonder if this means online booking will start??
The cm was sweet and a bit frazzled. It took two of them to work everything out and get me booked.
Disney did it right this time. Kudos!! They set this up so that people could only make one days worth of reservations today, as it starts on the 26th, so small call volume, and it will increase in numbers each day, allowing the cast members to learn with smaller numbers of people first!! Way to go disney!!

I'm alittle confused ... I know they started a new 90days out reservation policy (besides a few places) I thought I could call 90days from my FIRST day of Disney and reserve upto 10days worth of ADRs??

It is supposed to be 90 days for everything except CM, CRT and V&A, which can be booked up to June 19th until the 90 day window catches up.

And I thought they were ALREADY on the new reservation system since December?!?

You are correct in that assumption!! I am traveling to disney beginning May 13 thru June 1st, so now I am in the period where I have to make my reservations one day at a time or wait for a few days and make them all at once. Today I could book May 26th. The regular reservation system is booking thru May 25th. On May 26th the new system takes over. Didn't ask what all the changes were, but I hope it includes online booking!!
