ADR System Upgrade - History

I am wondering if WDW is omitting info on the new site like Spectro and Fantasmic on purpose. Maybe that way it gives WDW more room to change the schedules or # of showings more freely with too much backlash from the guests and uber planners. Looks like they want you to wait until you get to the parks etc to find out the showings and schedules.

But who knows, maybe the new site still has more to come. :confused3

Something else that changed on the website...

Due to the popularity of our Disney table service restaurants, dining availability may be limited or not available without advance reservations. Please call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations up to 90 days prior to your visit.

So maybe it is going to stay at 90 days?

I noticed that if you view the calendar by going through the park page (for example, click on Discover/Magic Kingdom) then you click on "Calendars for Magic Kingdom Theme Park" (most of the way down the page) you get a version of the calendar like it was on the old website. Then you can click on a specific day and see an hour by hour listing. There aren't any events listed yet, even for today, but my guess is this is where we will be able to find Spectro/Fantasmic, etc. in the future. Hopefully in the near future, like by the time they put out May hours.

::yes:: That's what Disney's Intranet (or Hub) has reported all along. The information from the Hub is in the first post as to why they've made this change.

I know that the ADR system has been undergoing an overhaul and that the most recent change is that the window has gone from 180 to 90 days. But has the system actually changed in any way yet? For example, I know there was talk about an online system, about making it so you can't make double ADRs, etc. But as far as I can tell, none of that has happened yet, is that right? I am nearing my ADR window and I am just wondering what to expect. Thanks!

I know this has been asked a million times, but for the millionth and one time, when can I make our ADR's? I know it is 90 days, but 90 days from the date I check in or 90 days from the first day we will be dining? For example, we check in on October 24th, but won't be using an ADR until the 25th. SO is it 90 days from the 24th or 25th????

TIA Guys!!!

If you're staying onsite, it's 90 days from check in (for all ADR's up to 10 days after). If offsite, then it's 90 days from ADR date for each ADR date.

We only have 7 more days until we are able to make our food reservations. This isn't our first trip, and we usually do a few regulars...But does anyone have some suggestion of "DO NOT MISS" restaurants? We have 2 small girls and like character dining....but we are not opposed to trying non-character dining.:goodvibes

I'm going to move this to our Restaurants forum, where I know you'll get lots of great ideas!

When will I be able to make dining ADRs for our December 2009 vacation? Also, any idea when we can make ressies for the Candlelight Proces. package?

Thanks! :wave2:

Just want to let you all know that I called today to switch our Chef Mickey breakfast to another day and had no problems... I had no wait at all too and I got the time I wanted.

You will be able to 90 days before you go.

two different reservation CM's told me that I could book earlier than 90 days for these.

One thought that it was still 180 days out , but only for these two restaurants.
the other, said that it varies. She suggested I try calling even earlier to see if they released the space. she said that its new, the whole new reservation system for the dining, so it is on trial and error...

i was wondering if anyone has had any first had experience with this yet?

when you call the dining number 1-407-wdw-dine the "announcement" when on hold says all ressies are for 90 days out except for a few - CM and CRT are stating for 180 days

You can still book Cinderella's Royal Table and Chef Mickey's at 180 days out, I believe.

Unfortunately these too are changing. The first post in the thread I referenced explains more, but three are available through June 19, 2009.
