:woohoo: :yay: Got all the times I wanted. All my ADRs are done. So glad I checked out this thread. Thanks everyone!!!;)

Did not know about the change and tried to book for my trip june 21-27.
they told me 90 days even cinderellas castle is this true???
Don't want to lose out.
Thanks

I will be calling January 21st too!!! Can't wait!

so I know some will be tough. We were originally were goingin February and I had even managed to get two Le Cellier ressies. I think that with the 90 day rule, it wil be tougher, as more people will have time to get their plans finalized. When it's six months away, alot of people don't even know for sure if they're going, let alone what day they'll be where! I guess I've just got to keep my fingers crossed.

I have the same concerns...Good luck and happy planning :goodvibes

Everything is 90 days out, including CRT.

My poor fiance woke up at 6:00 AM on Christmas Day to make ADR's at our 180 day mark only to be told that he has to wait until 90 days...BUT MARCH IS SO FAR AWAY!

Anyways--I am hearing conflicting things about making ADR's for Chef Mickey's, CRT, and V&A...are all those now 90 days as well?? When he called the CM told him that he could call back in a few days for those ADR's. Anyone make ADR's for those places passed June 23 yet? Thanks!!

Existing dining reservations are not impacted by this change, and those traveling on a 'Grand Gatherings' package will be able to book 180 days out.

It is just the "Grand Gathering Experiences" that will be able to book 180 days out. We have a GG planed for June. I called WDW dining this morning to clear up what I was reading. The things I was reading made it sound like if you had a GG booked then you could book everything including dining 180 days out. The CM I talked with said GG dining is the same as everyone else, it was just the "experiences" that were 180 days out. He went through a list of several things that included the Illuminations cruise, safari celebration dinner, good morning character breakfast, magical fireworks voyage etc... that could be booked right now but everything else had to wait until March for our date.
He did ask where I was getting all my information. Knowing what his response would be - I replied "the discussion boards". The CM was quick to tell me in a very nice way that the only way I can get correct information is to call WDW direct or go on the WDW website and the discussion boards are just random posts by people that most of the time have incorrect information. I told him that when I called in Dec to make Chef Mickey - that CM told me to call on Jan 15and I could make ALL our ADRs if it was in the 180 day window (and we all know by now that is incorrect - and that was straight from WDW :confused3 ). He replied that was not true and gave me our date to call in March (which I already had thanks to all those incorrect posts on the dis boards !!!:thumbsup2 ).

I don't understand why the lines would be busier - if you have 1000 people who want to eat on April 1st, wouldn't they call either Oct 1st or Jan 1st, and still be the same 1000 people wanting to eat on April 1st?:confused3 Or I know some people don't make plans 180 days out, but in that case the ones making plans at 90 days might call on the same day as others who are planning farther in advance.

The short answer is that on the average, the total number of callers *on* a given day would be the same, but those same people would be calling for 90 days worth of seatings instead of 180, so the number of people calling for a given meal would be higher.

One of the nice things about the longer window was that if one already had a trip in place at 160-180 days, it was quite easy, other than for special dates like Christmas week or 4th of July, to get seatings even at the popular places like CRT, without having to worry about calling at the very moment the reservation window opened, or even needing to call on the first day.

But since many more travelers have their trip in place 90 days out, one will now need to be on the phone at 6:59:59 to secure a spot at CRT, just like it did until the change was made about three years ago.

Thank you for understanding what I was trying to say and explaining it so well

Count me as one who is relieved I got my CRT ressie (for may) back in early Nov. when it was still 180 days. I'd be stressing big time! I got CM, too, so it's mostly LeCellier and Ohana I'm a little worried about. LeCellier is on Day 7 of our trip, though, so hopefully that will help!

Well, I just read on the ADR update post on page 1 of this thread that we could now make reservations for anything 90 days ahead of time -- at least that's what I thought I read. So I just called to make a reservation for the Luau on 3/24 which falls within the 90 day limit, and the person I got said that they were still taking reservations only thru 3/22. Has anyone else tried to get a reservation after 3/22 within the supposed 90 day rule?

Jean

Call back and speak to someone else. :rolleyes1

I called and got all of mine for 3/21-3/28. I just had to give them my reservation # so I could book for the additional 10 days.

hmm I already have my itinerary done for our sept/oct 2009 trip done, parks, dinners etc. SO, Yes I am Disney OCD. And yes, I have mixed feelings about the change in policy.
I always felt disney held back some tables and released them just weeks before the date of a desired ressie. (one example - I couldnt get CRT for a month then magically, shortly before one of our trips I had my pick of times???) Perhaps to level the playing field for those who book late.
With the 90 day window, will all tables be released at the same time?

I am sad that we have to wait but I will defintely be on the phone on March 9 at 6:59:59am to make my ADR's. I am happy though that I did get to make Chef Mickeys in the first part of December!

We didn't have any problems the two trips we took before the window went from 90 days to 180 days a few years ago.
