Hi, Everyone~ :wave2:

I love all the great advice available through these boards and so, I come to your for some. I am stumped with finalizing our dining arrangements. I have never had so many reservations booked for one trip before!! But this is our first time with the dining plan AND because of the holiday, a birthday celebration and a wedding anniversary- we thought we'd give it a try!

The questions we have are:

1) Is the Fantasmic dinner package truly worth it? Or would you free this for another meal?

2) Last time we ate at the Tusker House for breakfast and the kids truly enjoyed it. We thought this time we would try Cape May, but now our one DD has requested to go back to TH because she loves the "jungle juice". Do I try to swap days? With the holiday week I am afraid to change what we have booked.

4/11/09 No plans? This is the day we check in –

4/12/09 Easter Sunday- Cinderella’s Royal Table @ 8:15 pm Definite

4/13/09 Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package @ 3:50 pm
Is this worth it? :confused3

4/14/09 Cape May @ 8:05 am should we change to Tusker House?

4/15/09 Coral Reef @ 4:30 pm Definite

4/16/09 Princess Storybook @12:05 pm (BBB at 8am) Definite

4/17/09 Crystal Palace @ 4:00pm (we like to spend our last day in
MK and figured we can't lose with Pooh)

Thank you in advance for any additional recommendations and thoughts!! We truly appreciate it! :cheer2:

IMO, the Fantasmic package is worth it. We wanted to see the show but did NOT want to show up waaay early to get a seat. The package was a good way to do that.

While I've never been to Tusker House (or tried the jungle juice), I can say that I loved the character breakfast at Cape May. There were a lot of different choices, and they were all delicious. So if lack of jungle juice won't ruin your DD's day, I say try something different this trip and stick with Cape May.

HTH! :goodvibes

When did you do the Fantasmic package? I've been reading such negative things about it on the board. When we did it a few years back and thought it was great.

We did the Fantasmic! package in September but ate at Mama Melrose. I haven't heard good things about Hollywood and Vine. We enjoyed the Fantasmic! package but won't do it again because Fantasmic! isn't our cup of tea. I've heard that since they have cut F! to 2-3 nights a week that it's insane. You need to get to the ampitheater an hour in advance, even with the F! package "entry ticket".

You have a lot of character meals planned. If you wanted to get your son the jungle juice, go to Boma at AKL for breakfast. We have three kids and there's only so many character meals I can handle. The food is very similar at Boma as it is at Tusker House and they do have a juice there that I think is the same as at TH.

Have a great trip!

We did the Fantasmic package at Brown Derby in March of '08. It was a LOT of food, but it was delicious (for 2 adults...I'm not sure what the choices would be like for the kiddos), and we loved the show. When I said it was worth it, I didn't take into account that there were different restaurants associated with it...DOH. So, revising my previous comment to say: IMO, the Fantasmic package with dinner at the Brown Derby was worth it :thumbsup2

4/14 - Don't change as Cape May is terrific, IMO.

4/17 - If it were us, we would change to breakfast at Crystal Palace as we we were disappointed in their dinner. Breakfast is really good!!!

Thank you for the advice about Boma!! We have never had a meal there this is a great idea! Thank you very much!:goodvibes

All look good. In my opinion I don't think the Fantasmic package is worth it. But you need to do what works for you.

Can't comment on the Fantasmic Package because we have never done this before. As for Tusker House and Cape May Breakfasts, we are doing both of these this March for the first time. However, just want to warn you....especially since you are going at a busy time of year, I wanted to change my ADR time to later for Tusker House (have an 8:05am ADR, during early EMH) but the place is booked up and I have been calling everyday with no luck. I am telling you this because since you are going at a very busy time of year, you may have difficulties switching ADRs. Good luck

We've done both Cape May and Tusker House, and you can't go wrong with either one! I would say Tusker House is a little higher on our list because of the food, the yummy juice, and the characters (you get Daisy!). Cape May has great food too, and the character interaction is very good, although they no longer have Chip and Dale. Since it looks like you are staying at Beach Club, I would give Cape May a try. You probably won't be able to get a great time for Tusker House at this point anyway, and you might as well try something new! I would also definitely recommend Boma for breakfast! They have the wonderful juice there, and the food is the best!
