My boyfriend and 2 of our friends are going to WDW this December. I actually finish grad school the day we leave (hand in my thesis!), so it is sort of a celebration for that, but not really. We had used 40% off (one of us works at AAA), but when we crunched the numbers we just switched to the free dining (upgraded of course). It was only $125 more a person...and you know you'd spend more than that on food. Someday during peak times we'll have to take advantage of the 40% off she can get.
Since we only have 4 full days with no hoppers, it made planning the ADRs more difficult. I think I did the best I could, but just wanted to make sure I am not missing something blatantly obvious. One of my friends is also the world's pickiest eater. Your 3 year old probably is more adventurous than she is! Here were my restraints:
1) One very picky eater. Pretty much Chicken/Pasta only.
2) No park hoppers (it was PH vs MVMCP)
3) My boyfriend wanted to do a character meal. It is his first WDW trip besides a day at Epcot a few years ago and our trip to DL last year.
We arrive on the 10th late, maybe time for a CS at Pop, then off to Epcot around 10pm.
12/11 We're doing the Magic Kingdom. Can't say I want to do any of the TS here now that LTT is not a character meal. We're doing Narcoosee's at 5:40. I thought Cali Grill sounded better but my DBF was really into Narcoosee's. It's a quick monorail trip away and we'll be back in time for Wishes/Spectro.
12/12 EPCOT. Dinner at Coral Reef at 8:05p. I managed to get the only remaining dinner time, it's a little late but I am sure we'll be out just in time for Illuminations. Tutto Italia didn't sound appealing to me at all, and I know Chefs de France wouldn't appeal to at least one eater in the group. The picky eater has ate at Coral Reef before at least, and DBF wanted to eat here if possible.
12/13 MGM. Fantasmic at 6:30 was a must-do, so that throws a wrench into dinner plans. I was thinking 50's PTC for Lunch, but that doesn't seem to be a good value on the plan. So we have Chef Mickey's at 9:00pm. MGM closes at 8 so we have plenty of time to get there.
12/14 AK//MVMCP Tusker House 9:20. I honestly didn't know what else to do. Y&Y seemed too adventurous. Dinner starts past 4 at most resorts, and I wanted to get into the MK as soon as possible for the party. I thought about Kona Cafe or going to AKL but nothing really seems to work. I feel that a breakfast is sort of a waste of a credit to be honest, but I am sure it will be good. Donald and company dressed up will be cute. Two character buffets within 12 hours! I hope we're hungry.
We leave the 15th early afternoon. Not really enough time to go to a park nor a TS anywhere.
Overall I am pretty happy with what I came up with besides the TS breakfast. I am shocked so many dinner times were open, only Coral Reef and Le Cellier were unavailable. If anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
