Breakfasts:
Tusker House
'Ohana or Kona Cafe

Lunch:
GFC (this is a must)

Dinners:
Maya Grill (staying at CSR)
Narcosees
Teppan Edo
Sci-Fi
'Ohana
BOG

Looks good to me! We love Tucker House and Kona for breakfast and Teppan Edo is our families favourite. We also love Via Napoli and Yak&Yeti, and usually go to 50's Prime Time at HS instead of SciFi. Have a great trip!

The only ones we've been to are
'Ohana breakfast - delicious and fun
Sci-Fi - great atmosphere and nice & cool mid-day break.

Curious- why is gfc a must-do for you? Should we try it?!

When we went there Memorial Day '13 it was during our MK day and this was our 1st full day at WDW. We just have a warm fuzzy feeling when we talk about it. Even my boys liked the fanciness of the Grand Floridian :) it was a nice break from the park. One of my twins got the lobster burger, the other got the salmon and the waitress went out of her way to get my youngest a big plate of watermelon. There was nothing insanely special, but holds a special place for us.

Gotcha. I totally get that! We feel warm and fuzzy about Crystal Palace. However, your description intrigues me and I'm going to put it on my list! Thanks for sharing!

LOVE Tusker, Ohana BOG, and Kona, so a go on those. Tusker has a ton of different options on their buffet.

I tried Teppan Edo and I really didn't care for it, but I'm a vegetarian so I just got a plate of vegetables their grilled with Zucchini (which I hate, hah). The servers were great though!

I prefer Prime Time over Sci Fi for the food as well. I think they're equal in atmosphere.

I agree with the PP who said Yak and Yeti, crazy cool restaurant very good food.

1900 Park Fare at GF for dinner is also my favorite restaurant at WDW. Very pretty, nice options, and love the characters.

CP is another that I really was considering! But, wanted to narrow it down to 2 char experiences! I like the idea of 'Ohana because it's not a buffet. So it was between Tusker & CP.
GFC is IMO just a relaxing place with good food. And we really liked just hanging out outside before we went back to MK
ThankYou so much for your feedback & response :)

:) ThankYou so much for your response! Was thinking 1900 Park fare as well but gosh we are already over our TS budget. You are right 50's food is very good, but our server was just ho-hum. Def going to try to fit in yak & yeti

I think you've got a lot of good places. My opinions are below, FWIW .....

Breakfasts:
Tusker House -I hear almost unanimously great things about this. We love Boma and I know there are some similarities. We just never go to AK, so it's not a possibility for us.

'Ohana or Kona Cafe - Never eaten at Ohana for breakfast, but everything I read says it's nothing special. We did eat at Kona, and although the reviews for it are great, we thought it was rather Denny's like in atmosphere, and the food was not very good (admittedly, none of us ordered the Tonga Toast; maybe that was the problem :)).

Lunch:
GFC - Did this once when my daughter did the Alice in Wonderland Tea party. It was just ok.

Dinners:
Maya Grill - no experience

Narcoosees - no experience

Teppan Edo - Have had 2 good dinners here. We won't repeat it again because it felt a little boring last time, but it's reliably good food.

Sci-Fi - Probably the worst dining experience we've ever had at Disney. Sat at a table in the back, but sitting in a car wouldn't have helped. Service sucked, food sucked. No way to sugar coat it. I'll take crappy DHS counter service any day over this place that sucked up an hour of my time, and way too much $$$ to be treated poorly and served bad food. I hear it's best to stick with burgers and shakes, so maybe that's where we went wrong. I remember getting spinach dip and some kind of soup ... and they were terrible.

'Ohana - Ohana is popular, but we did not love this one. It was too much food and was decidedly un-fun for us. Nothing was bad, but we left overly full and feeling crappy about all the wasted food. Having the drink in the pineapple was probably the highlight. We will never do this again, but I know a lot of people like it.

BOG - no experience with dinner; hated if for lunch, but I hear dinner is a whole different ballgame.

Wowzers!!!! ThankYou for such a detailed response!!!! Love reading about people's experiences and hearing feedback and suggestions. Awww that stinks about the sci-fi experience :( we went & had a decent time but we stuck with the burgers and shakes :) (I was warned prior)
I agree with you 100% in regard to 'Ohana! In fact that was one I wanted to skip this next time around. I felt full and just nasty after...... But, my 3 meat loving boys LOVED it!
Again thanks for your awesome response :)

Breakfast at Tusker House is pretty good. Standard fare (eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon) mixed in with some exotic stuff & pastries. Bonus feature is the characters

We've eaten at 'Ohana about 10 times, so it has become a bit of a family tradition. We've always been a fan of the food and festivities. Book at the right time and you can see the fireworks across the water.

Narcoossee's is pricey but delicious. The presentation was incredible and his is one of the best meals we've had on property. Our waiter was great. He started clearing up dinner plates but asked us to hold off on dessert and instead ushers outside on the deck to watch the fireworks. When we returned, all of our desserts were waiting for us.

Breakfasts:
Tusker House - We enjoyed breakfast here, fun choice
'Ohana or Kona Cafe - have not done either for breakfast, have done both for dinner, I agree w/ a previous poster that Kona is like a glorified Denny's, not a fav of mine, but a lot of people love it. I like Ohana for dinner and one of the best times there was when we were by the window when wishes happened - magical.

Lunch:
GFC (this is a must) - I like GF cafe - nice quiet relaxing interlude, also nice for breakfast

Dinners:
Maya Grill (staying at CSR) - never been
Narcosees - a lot of people are sort of down on Narcosees, but I love it, being out by the water is so nice, the service has always been top notch and it's fun to be there when wishes is happening or to watch the water parade go by from the dock before or after dinner. One of my favs.
Teppan Edo - fun just like Beni Hana
Sci-Fi - not been (not a fan of DHS dinning options, except Brown Derby)
'Ohana - see above
BOG - have done lunch here - loved it

ThankYou for the feedback! Love that you reviewed Narcoosees for my :) we love seafood and my boys get a kick out of "fancy" places, so thought this would be a nice fit for us. Glad you liked it and FANASTIC to hear that the service was top notch.

Awesome feedback! ThankYou :) glad you liked GFC I hear mixed reviews but we love it for the same reasons you do. So excited now about narcosees & Teppan Edo thanks for the input

We love food too :) I eat healthy 99% of the year and train hard so I can let loose in WDW lol.

Breakfasts:
Tusker House - one of the best breakfast places, we enjoy getting an ADR before rope drop.

'Ohana or Kona Cafe - both are great.
Ohana I really dig the bread and the waffles.. thats about it, very limited on what there is to eat, but it is all good and interactions with the characters is worth it for the little ones.
Kona - great breakfast.. We split the tonga and the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes and the pancakes stole my heart, and I and a french toast guy so that is saying a lot :p

Lunch:
GFC (this is a must): my family isn't into seafood so we've never been. The GF in general to me is just too snooty lol. I've workout there while staying at the Poly and have eaten at the QS spot and it was good but the atmosphere just doesn't do it for us. A lot of people enjoy the place though, and I love going there during Xmas for the decorations.

Dinners:
Maya Grill (staying at CSR): never been and I love mexican food :(
Narcosees never been

Teppan Edo: Did once and will not waste money again on it. It is the typical hibachi style restaurant found in every city. Just felt really down about the visit as we left. Those places do not fill me up so not only was there no magic but I will still hungry :sad2:

Sci-Fi: we have skipped sci-fi because it seemed like the cars were only limited to family of 4 and I wasn't going to take my kids into a place to have them watch others eat inside of a car while we ate on the sides at a regular table.. this is how 50's was and it wasnt fun at all. BUT we ended up eating there during Star Wars Weekend for the character breakfast and IT WAS AWESOME! I can't wait to go back and eat regular food there. It was just a pretty cool decorated place, AND they have car tables that seat 6 people..

'Ohana: Like I said before Ohana is a great family restuarant. Tasty food from breakfast to dinner. its limited to food choices but if you like the menu you will be happy. For dinner I love the chicken wings and pot stickers, noodles and OMG the dessert..

BOG: I've done a couple lunches and a dinner here and while the dinner was a little better than the lunches I would not waste another dime there and recommend the same to others when they ask UNLESS you want to see the themed decorations. It is not comforting at all.

Cliffs: Get rid of Teppan Edo and BOG :crazy2:.. have fun!!! :rotfl:

Wowzers!!!! ThankYou for such a detailed response :) we stayed at POR last year and I seriously couldn't handle not being around a gym for 8 days, this is my reasoning for picking CSR and as a single parent I can't afford a deluxe.
I will reconsider Teppan Edo due to your feedback, although I've heard great things we so have places like that around home.
We loved sci-fi we all just chilled out with our burgers... Yummm! Won't give up that ADR!
Honestly, I love the beast so my reasoning was purely for the photo-op! But, my youngest son probably won't enjoy the food much hmmmmm!
So glad that you guys like Tusker, dying to try that as my boys are HUGE breakfast eaters.
It's hard to be healthy in WDW all the yumminess, but as you said it all goes out the window on vacation!!!!!!! Plus, I love myself a cupcake ;)
