ADR for MK restaurant on a night of MVMCP without an event ticket.

We are planning to spend the day at MK on Friday 11/7. It is the first night of MVMCP but we did not purchase event tickets. I know that we can make reservations for a MK restaurant up until 6PM on that day and are expected to leave the park when our meal is finished. My question is: how do they police this? Is there any way for anyone to know if we stay and catch some of the festivities on our way out of the park?

Party guests have wrist bands, if you're not part of the party, you'll be escorted out. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

It's been a few years since I was there at regular park closing on a party night, but the CM's escorted/directed non-party people to the exit. There was no dilly dallying or stopping along the way. And I don't blame them. They have a small window to turn the park over & the party guests paid for this event.

And they were checking for party wristbands so without one you won't be able to do anything anyways. Anyone without a wristband was immediately directed towards the front/exit & another CM was there to keep directing you. No going back for a picture or snack or anything.

Last time we attended MVMCP, we had our bands checked numerous times by Cast Members, so they are definitely vigilant about it.

This year for MNSSHP the CMs were forming lines in various places before the party officially started. We were on the PeopleMover and had noticed CMs already positioning themselves near the Space Mountain restrooms. Seems like non-party guests will be met early and frequently with CM blockades.

Everybody would try to stick around and catch “some festivities” for free if allowed with just an ADR. Rumor going around a bit ago was they’re getting so serious about shuffling non party goers out you are not even allowed to use a restroom on your way out of the park if it’s past party official start time…

True! You will have to use the restroom by Guest relations or if they are really being strict, outside the entrance gates.

When checking in for a later ADR they were asking whether guests had party tickets. The server made a notation and guests were escorted out at the end of the meal.

When attendees have paid more $200 a ticket for the event, it is reassuring that Disney has adopted strategies for making sure day guests leave in a timely fashion.
