ADR for 4 but only 3 show up.

My mom just told me that she might be able to come to WDW with us in April...Yeah...I think...

ALL of my ADR's are booked for three people.

If I try and rebook all my adr's for 4 people and only 3 show up....

Does that affect others who needed a 4 ressie? And, does the restaurant staff mind if only three show up?

You shouldn't have that much of a problem going down one person as you might have trying to bring in an extra person.

The thing you should watch out for would be reservations that are prepaid or booked with a credit card guarantee as I have seen reports that you might have to pay the no-show fee for absent party members.

It is best to make it for 4 if you think she is going. It isn't a problem for less people to show up (as long as you haven't prepaid the meal...aka CRT..etc).
However it is a BIG issue to bring along an extra person to the adr.

Usually the extra person isn't allowed in or seated. So it is best to count her and if she doesn't come no big deal.

As the PPs indicated, it normally isn't a problem if less people show up than what the ADR is made for (especially from four down to three). Last year, I had made all of my ADRs for four, but at the last minute one our party had to cancel, so only three of us went. We just told the cast member at check-in that there was only three of us. No one said anything about it being a problem.

The only time you're going to have make a choice is about the pre-paid meals (e.g., CRT) because those require you to cancel at least 24-hours in advance. I'm not sure if you can just drop one person or if you have to drop the entire party. Hopefully, it's the former.

Planning a WDW vacation is anxiety producing, but now to reaarange all of my ADR's
