Hello All,

I will be staying at the Swan in early December, taking my wife for the first time. :yay:

Is there a guide on what you have to do to make reservations for different WDW restaurants and how early you have to book them? i.e. months or days ahead.

I'm in the UK and would like to plan some romantic dinners, but don't have a clue where to start.

Many thanks in advance,

Alex.

You can make ADRs 180 days out, and I'd advise you to make them at the 180 day mark to ensure you get the times and places that you guys want :)

If you look at the Dining bit of the DIS HERE, then you can look at the menus and see which restaurants are to your tastes. You can also look at the Dining Reviews on this site to get a good idea of a restaurant.

When you know what you want, you can call 407-WDW-DINE (I'm from the UK and I always dial FirstNumber first - go on their website for more info, 2p per min from BT Landlines - for cheap calls) and a Cast Member on the other side will help you make them and give you reservation numbers.

If you are staying on Disney property you can make ADRs 180days+10days - this means that from the 180 day mark, you can also make ADRs for the following 10 days, so you don't have to call back every day.

Places like California Grill, Citrico's, and Narcoosee's seem popular for Romantic dinners. Otherwise, I like 50s Prime Time, Kona Cafe, Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Biergarten.

I'm on the way out to lunch so a very quick answer sorry! I hope it helped a bit though!!

This is the site I use when making all my ADRs. You can click on the 'report' area and plug in the places you want to eat, on the specific days you want to eat there, and it will give you the date to call. You can fill it out with your ADR hopes and then print it out. It will give you a space to fill in times/conf numbers. Very handy.

Many thanks for the info. :)
When you dial 407-WDW-DINE, I assume the W would be 9 and the D=3?

I am now 5 days into the 180 zone, so I guess I had better hurry up...:scared1:

YUP! Exactly! The W is a 9... and so forth :) I would call immediately to book your ADRs.

No Pressure :scared1: :scared1: lol

I had better start my research! I have created a park schedule so I will start looking at dinners and lunches to fit.

I like Italian, So I guess Epcot World Showcase an hour or so before fireworks would be a good start....

Early December is supposed to be quite quiet, so I hope I can at least give myself a week to look at my options before I book.

I looked at the booking form on this site. Its amazing!!! Who ever created it is a total star. :worship:

If you want to see Illuminations, I would schedule dinner an hour and a half or even two ahead of time. I don't know if the calendar is out yet, but usually Illuminations is at 9:30 in December because of the Candlelight Processional (which is an absolute don't miss in my book).

With the exception of CRT and Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's, there is no need to call every day nor right at the 180 mark. I just make a little calendar with my dates and planned parks, plan my reservations and make one call.

Since you're staying at the Swan, you will not be able to use 180 + 10. But 180 from your last day, you can make one call and book everything. Again, unless you're trying for CRT or CT at V&A. Le Cellier is harder to get these days as well so if your heart's set on that, it might be good to call earlier rather than later for that.

Happy planning!

Cool link, Diane. I didn't know that existed.

Can I tell you how many times for each trip I have to print out the stupid thing?? I keep changing my mind about my ADRs. But, I love that site. It's really helpful to have at hand...I take the printout to the park with me each day.

Red I purchased the companion book to this site and it's like my bible before i go to WDW. What a nice vacation for your wife. Please note that most of the "romantic" places are expensive as in Narcosees, Cirtricos, California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse. Also, remember to tell the castemebers when you make your ressies that it is your wife"s birthday so that they can possibley do something special for her like decorate the table or bring a surprise birthday cupcake. pixiedust: "The British are coming, the British are coming". :dance3: Enjoy!

Hello All,

I have made all my reservations :yay:

Between Dec 3rd and 13th, I got all the ones I requested within a few hours of the times I requested.
I haven't booked any dinners for the boardwalk area or the Swan, but will probably take chances when I get there.

Thanks again for all your help..... you are all stars! :lovestruc
