I have a 9:05 ADR for Crystal Palace, how early will they let you into the park. I tried to move the ADR to a earlier time but no availability, am hoping they sit us early.

They should have a special turnstile for early morning ADR's, usually to the far left or far right. If you don't see one, ask a CM.

We have a 9:05am ADR too!! We are planning, or should I say hoping, that they let us in at 8:30 so we can try to get seated early. I figure even if they don't let us in until 8:45, we can still get that picture in front of the castle before everyone else gets let in!

FWIW, in all our early ADRs at Magic Kingdom, nobody has ever checked our reservation. I'm sure that may not be the norm, but we always try to be super early for our morning ADRs and are always let in.

This has been my experience. Remember that with all things Disney, there is theory and there is practice. If you call and ask, you will get the "official" answer and it is often not the one that you want. (Like, "We will not let you in the park any earlier than 15 minutes before your ADR.") But in practice, the happy-go-lucky employee at the turnstile is far more likely to brighten your day and let you in earlier. It is much easier for the boots on the ground to let you in than to have you hang around the turnstile with your impatient kids. The voice on the phone is required to tell you the official policy, but the employee at the gate is trained to try to make your visit just a bit more enjoyable. That said, one should not try and take advantage of employee generosity just because one can. But if circumstances dictate, you can usually count on the employees to help you out rather than frustrate you.

I too may be interested in procuring an ADR for CP having eaten there previously but want to know if I have to burn a park day to do it?

The day in question is an off day (12/7) and for the moment, I cannot get into CM that morning as intended.

Thanks

To get to any restaurant inside a park, you must use park admission. When you make your ADR they will say 'park admission required'.

You might try 1900 Park Fare or Cape May, since neither of them would require park admission. Park Fare has Tigger, Pooh, Mad Hatter, Alice, and Mary Poppins. Cape May has Minnie, Donald, and Goofy in beach attire for breakfast.
