I know there is a thread on this site, but according to the thread, you only need your ticket (for MVMCP) to attend. The web site for Disney says you also need a park admission ticket for that day. Which is true? According to Disney, then the actual price for the party would be 52 dollars plus the price of the ticket for the party. Is this a change from the previous years?

No, as long as you enter after 4:00pm, the MVMCP ticket will be your admission. Before that, you'll need a park admission.

All the website says in the description is "Theme park admission required" and all they mean by that is this party is NOT free. You need a ticket to get in. The website does not say you need the party ticket and park admission.

I am 100% sure you will only need your party ticket after 4:00p.

There is already another thread on this and someone in that thread was worried and called Disney and the CM said that sentence is only there to state this event is NOT free.

I just bought our tickets and asked about this. I was told under no circumstances were they allwoing anyone in with just the MVMCP ticket until 7:00pm on the nose.

Is this different from other years or do they always say that and then let people in at 4pm anyway? We'd like to have dinner first in the park.

Thanks!

CMs who don't know might say this but it is not true. Since at least 2002 they have let party goers in after 4:00p with just party tickets regardless of whether you have a PS or not. This way they don't go insane at 7:00p!! People stagger in a different times.

They even set up a special entrance at 4:00p for party goers to come in and they hand out the wristbands then.

Terrific! Now we can get off the plane, check into our resort and go right to MK.

beattyfamily, do you know if it's too soon to make dinner reservations? I remember seeing a chart once on the different restaurants and how many days out you could reserve.....

You can make dinner ressies for LTT now. I actually made my PS about 2 months ago. I believe thats the only place that will allow PS so early.

They have been allowing LTT PS when party tickets went on sale for several years now. So those PS have been going since May 1 when tickets went on sale but you can also wait till 90 days out and book Crystal Palace, The Castle or Tony's! They will take PS up until 6:00p and LTT will take PS up until 9:00p or 10:00p...I can't remember when they close party nights but I know it's late. Most prefer booking PS between 4:00p and 6:00p to be done by party official start time of 7:00p.

Have fun planning!

I called to try to make a PS for liberty Tree tavern, and the lady asked me if I had my tickets yet, I said no and she said I couldn't make the PS without having bought the mvmcp tickets. Should I have just told her that I had them? I'm going to buy them but I wanted to make sure I could get LTT for that night.
Thanks
Kelly

Im glad Im not the only one who was confused by that statement. ;)
You would think they would say something like "MVMCP ticket is required", instead of "park admission". If I didnt have this board and didnt know all Ive learned here I would definitely take that as you need to be in the park with regular admission in order to attend the party.
