Why is it when you have to get up it is torture when the alarm goes off? Today, nowhere to be until later, up bright and early at 5 am.

Ugh, woke up to a completely dead cell phone. Apple chat is useless. Now have an appointment with Apple at 11. Since I have my orthopedic appointment at 9 for a cortisone shot in my toe and the second round of knee gel injections, I should be okay to walk there.

Ack....sorry to hear that. Good luck with your injections and hope they can fix your phone!

Just registered for my first live runDisney for Marathon Weekend in January 2024 (5K) - I had been doing these virtually to this point - pretty excited to participate in my first one live!

They're so fun! I did the 10k and Half Marathon in Disneyland in 2013 and that was a blast! Love running through an empty California Adventure (pre-Guardians too)!

And then my cat fell into the pool...

Whenever she goes outside, she drinks from our (saltwater), then poops in my flower garden. Subtle, Florence! Today, DS17 picked up the hose to water the flowers and startled her. Our pool has a lip around the top, she was able to get herself out easily. But, she's not a happy camper. Serves you right, Flo!

It’s crazy how painful injections in the feet are! I had a plantar wart removed and I cursed out loud when the dr did it, even though he warned me it was going to be painful. Our feet take the brunt of our weight and walking/running but don’t hurt yet a little needle in there and yowza! Crazy how our nerves work!!

I hear you. I warned the doctor that I may curse when the injection goes in.

I know, right! We had a call in meeting this morning, so I got up early and set up for the meeting……and then fell asleep. When I woke up, it was over!

I get the joy of sitting at the car dealership this morning while waiting for my snow tires to be switched out for my all season tires. I know all you warm weather peeps are so jealous.

I feel like Iowa is such a bipolar weather state that my car is perceptually confused.

Good luck with your doctor’s visit! And FWIW, I feel that doctors should be cursed at more often.

How fun!! You'll have a blast then get addicted doing live ones! Anyone else do runDisney here? I did several but haven't been in quite a few years. I have only done 3 Disney race. Fun fact - I was never a runner until I discovered runDisney in 2011!! The mouse made me a runner! (but not fast) My first race ever - Disneyland half marathon 2012. The other two I did were Dumbo Double-Dare and Inaugural Avengers Super Hero.
It is my goal to eventually do a Dopey Challenge. But before that, let's get back into shape first and try to run a 5K without wanting to die Lol! I'm just putting it out there regardless it happens or not...I would love to do some runDisney races with some of you or Disfriends in the future!

Today is Taco Tuesday!! It’s one of my favorite days of the week where I don’t cook dinner and we get Tijuana flats two tacos and a drink special!

I love tacos!! Or if they have mulitas! We don't have Tijana Flats here, actually I've never tried it either.

Okay, this reminds me of the taco that many people raved about @ Epcot. It's the $8.75 Taco Vampiro at the Flower Garden Festival. Even DFB recommended so we wanted to try, despite it's $8.75 for ONE !! Well...it was very baffling to us why people rave about this taco....it was meh...okay. I was so annoyed!
Anyone else tried it? What's your rating on it?

Cranky. Doctors office told me to go by the imaging center to pick up my contrast for my preoperative CT. So I did and you would have thought I totally disrupted their day. Then when they finally give it to me....it's banana!! Gross!!! Lol

I stumbled upon the Australian version of Love it or List it is a few weeks ago and after one episode hubby and I were googling 'how to move to Brisbane from Canada' lol It's difficult. Oh well

loved watching it but it seemed so odd that most homes there had you walk in with the bedrooms at the front and a centralized (smack dab in the middle of the hall you walk to get to what we would consider our living room) bathroom. seemed odd to have plumbing put in the middle just for that one common bathroom. wish they would run more episodes.

a couple of days after the legal date this month requiring studded snow tire removal in our state we got a 7 inch dump of snow, people were not happy.

State of Washington just passed a law that seniors making $72,000 a year are eligible for property tax rebates. So the median income isn't exactly middle class

they seem to just be raising the current income levels-and that dollar amount is going to be different in each county based on the formula the state has set up. it seems the big driving concern on this was due to social security's bigger than normal c.o.l.a. this year that was perceived to likely push a number of existing beneficiaries under this program out of income eligibility.

Saltwater pools are closer to tears in salt content, versus the ocean, if that makes sense. And the chemistry is off right now--DH hadn't gotten it in shape for the summer yet, and then we had a ton of rain a few days back. Still, there's a water bowl on the deck that I check/fill religiously. It gets super hot down here, and one of our cats practically lives outdoors (his choice), so I want them to have fresh water.

Plus, Flo is a real jerk, so once any danger had passed, we were laughing at her situation. That picture is off her going off to sulk, with the shreds of her dignity at the bottom of the pool.

like them or not, if you are ever in a medical situation where your potassium levels are low and you are given the option of eating a banana or two vs. getting a potassium i.v.-choke down those bananas! that i.v. feels like thick, hot molten lava being pushed into your arm (and the numbing agents do little to nothing to offset the pain). it is so agonizing it's common for individuals who are prescribed it as treatment to do it once and refuse to ever do it again.

I can empathize, we just did the same thing for DH's car on Saturday. Except it wasn't just swapping his all seasons back on, he needed new tires so there went close to $1300.

Well...if you REALLY want to visit skywalker ranch...you certainly can!! Book a sailing on the Wish, go to Hyperspace lounge and order the Kaiburr Crystal (if they aren't sold out). It comes with a voucher for a visit to the ranch!! It's only $5K for that "drink"! Oh and don't forget, it's only ONE voucher per drink, so anyone else want to go with you, tell them to bring $5K (plus gratuities of course).

Hard pass lol On the Wonder about 5 or 6 years ago we had a wine tasting booked and it turned out it was a sommelier from Skywalker vineyards!!! And all their different wines. What an excellent value that tasting was!

Regarding injections, I have had a few over the years in my feet for plantar fasciitis. I warn my podiatrist about possible cursing, or kicking, and he says he would be more concerned if I didn't curse!
