i watch all the housewives except 'potomic', much like 'vanderpump rules' i just never connected with it. not sure if i'll stick with 'dubai' if it gets a second season but i might give it a shot. a few years ago bravo ran a few seasons of their new zealand iteration which was interesting to watch. we got a good deal on peacock a couple months back so i went ahead and watched miami but i miss lea black.

i love 'alaska the last frontier'-one of the family reminds me sooooooooo much of a late friend it's heartwarming to watch it. i also really enjoy 'homestead rescue'-the level of sheer stupidity on the part of people is mind boggling-the mindset of 'i've never had so much as a houseplant or raised a goldfish but we're going to dump every penny we have into a piece of land that generations of people have deemed unproductive and uninhabitable where we will grow all our own food, raise our own flocks/herds...who cares that it's an arid environment and there's no well, we'll collect rainwater....' i wish they would do catch up shows a few years down the line vs. just a few months b/c no way i live homestead style but it's rural enough that there's a good number of people who are in and out within 2 years-a couple of years of plowing your own roads (vs. just a driveway), going without power for upwards of a week each winter, mowing all those acres...that idyllic notion of a leisurely country lifestyle hits a hard wall of reality.

Yes, yes! I watch Alaska the Last Frontier and Homestead rescue. I also love Life Below Zero and LBZ Next Gen. Otto and Eiven are masters at making and fixing all things mechanical. And Marty on Homestead Rescue has the most calloused hands I have ever seen. Goes to show he is the real deal and not pretending for TV. I also really like Misty's interesting greenhouse designs. I also think those people trying to homestead in a desert are just insane. I couldn't even stare at that baren land for a day without feeling depressed much less work in it day and night trying to battle the elements with nature stacked against you. There are much better climates for homesteading.

I don't even know what to say ... except I started watching the Secret of Skinwalker Ranch - so I have absolutely nothing to add on this topic lol
Everytime I see that show mentioned I say SKYWALKER in my head instead of Skinwalker. Probably because I like the wine and really want to visit Skywalker Ranch :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I stumbled upon the Australian version of Love it or List it is a few weeks ago and after one episode hubby and I were googling 'how to move to Brisbane from Canada' lol It's difficult. Oh well :rolleyes1

I watch a lot of cooking/baking shows. Not that I ever cook or bake anything exciting. It must have rubbed off, though, because my younger two love to bake, so there's that. I don't care for the "housewives" drama, I find the remodeling shows to be wildly unrealistic (they play them constantly in our doctor's office), and i don't have the stomach for the typical "pretty people thrown in a house" type shows. Although I like Survivor and Amazing Race.

You know, I could've forgiven all of that if he brought back this absolute BOP to the Epcot music loop.

Thank you for sharing this. Ds26 used to listen to this very often back in his teen years.

For me, it brings back happy memories of our kids as toddlers seeing the sidewalk sections that light up. I might even have old pictures of one stopping to squat down and touch every dot of light as it lights up. If we let him, he would have spent an hour chasing lights. Pure joy.

I’ve never watched, but have seen scrolling through the channels………..Naked and Afraid. Why in the world would people agree to “throw me in the jungle with nothing for two weeks”. We need 40 pounds of supplies to go into theme parks.

We go through tv blips. Watch house hunters or similar for a few weeks, then never again. Flip it shows ( love those , flip an entire house for $100 , in 5 days) again watch for it for a few weeks and stop.

i find those “ how they make it “ shows both food and gadgets Interesting.

Ugh, woke up to a completely dead cell phone. Apple chat is useless. Now have an appointment with Apple at 11. Since I have my orthopedic appointment at 9 for a cortisone shot in my toe and the second round of knee gel injections, I should be okay to walk there.:crutches:

Have you tried to force a restart? I used to have to do that when it happened to me.

Yes, I tried that a few times, even once with the Apple chat bot. She then said I have the option of sending it in. Doesn't she realize I have to call in on Thursday to upgrade my Disney tickets to DVC annual passes?😂

I tried the force start so many times, but because you asked if I tried it, I decided to do it one more time. It worked.

Esksmam01, you saved my day. Thank you!

The 50th time is the charm 😂 Glad it finally worked!
I get the joy of sitting at the car dealership this morning while waiting for my snow tires to be switched out for my all season tires. I know all you warm weather peeps are so jealous.
What's a snow tire? Ha ha ha! We didn't have a single flake this winter.

Lucky duck !! I never used to do snow tires but then a few years back, I got stuck in snow when trying to "make room" for a snowplow going the opposite direction on a side road. It was frustrating. The next year, I started driving my DD every weekday into Milwaukee for a special program and then to my work.....then from my work back to Milwaukee to pick up DD and another kid. I would then drive him home, which happens to be more rural, before finally driving back home. Being responsible daily for two other human beings in my car, I decided it was time to get snow tires. They really do grip the roads better in cold snowy conditions. It's a PITA to switch out tires every fall and spring but it's worth it.
