Oh yeah salsa so just like other things in our household (wine, beer, etc) my husband and I are different

I prefer chunky mild (but can do medium as well) salsa and he prefers medium picante sauce

For chips used to be the $2 per bag Santitas but we've "upgraded" to On the Border restaurant style :snooty:

I go away for a few hours to do some scouring on Amazon for a sun hat for next week and the ping pong of topics is just what I was hoping for! Good job everyone :jumping3:

Side note my head measures 20.5inches and apparently that qualifies as a toddler to under 6 year old size depending on the product! None of the women's hats would fit me but they are so much cuter. I couldn't find a cute, good quality (based on reviews) straw hat so stuck with more practical can get wet but not as cute fabric hats.

Ordered 3 of them 2 being the same thing just 2 different sizes BUT those have a ponytail slot and another 1 that doesn't have a ponytail slot. But I needed to find stuff that could come this weekend. Items are supposed to be here tomorrow fingers crossed...it is my fault for waiting this late but this thread def. took my attention away earlier this week..it's all of your faults ;)
Have you considered one of those packable straw visors? I am not a fan personally (I'm a baseball cap gal) but many of my friends are obsessed. They roll up to pack and then roll out into a visor, if that makes sense.

Okay so this one struck a "that is SOOOO me" chord. My husband's family is so used to me being the person who is looking up stuff. Random conversations in the car they can bet that if there's a "I wonder..." And they always say "Mackenzie I know you're looking it up what's the answer" :rotfl2:I just love learning new stuff is all :)

We are kindred spirits! I want to know as much as I can about things .... and when I get REALLY into something watch out. Hence my presence on the DIS when it comes to theme parks, ha!

I did look into those, really I wanted packable (and I'll get that) but I burn so badly on the top of my head (the main reason actually for the sun hat) that I need a full hat as opposed to a visor. Thank you for the suggestion!

But they had really cute visors I saw. The packable straw hats I saw majority of them were for women and were several inches too big even with being labeled as "adjustable" for some. Hats have always been hard for me to get. Ah well nothing new I suppose. My glasses are kids ones although ones usually labeled adult child. I can't shop in the adults nor petits glasses section :upsidedow

haha I'm pretty certain multiple posters would say the same about me. I grew up having a lot of conversations about a lot of things so I'm thankful my husband likes to talk about stuff too. We have some really good conversations in the car on the way to things or just sitting in the great room reading up on current news. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver usually sparks some good conversations too.

LOVE Last Week Tonight. I am not DVC but I would highly consider it if I had the discretionary income, so I spent the whole timeshares episode being like "Okay .... DVC doesn't do that at least, I don't think .... " lol

Have you ever Googled "significance of 4/20?" It started as a West coast thing, but I thought it was in wider use now.
No. But thanks for clarifying lol.

I'm pretty sure that isn't a thing in my part of the East Coast.

They just recently talked about Disney too but with the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse now being in public domain but how Disney may just be crafty enough to spin it where they can keep it as intellectual property.

I just love how that show doesn't care about calling out anyone or spending money just to prove points, it's hilarious but so informative at the same time

We love John Oliver too. I liked the one where they had a creepy dolls that would wash up on the Texas beach and they sent them to Australia to be put in the big trash crusher. He’s such a great storyteller and loves to keep some running jokes going.

I haven't seen that one yet, I'm a few weeks behind! But I agree, the "Business Daddy" jabs at HBO always make me giggle.

I sadly only went to PI once and I wasn’t 21 yet so I could only get into some of the 18+ clubs. I wish I could have experienced it in all its glory.
I don't remember the Downtown Disney McD's but I DO remember the fry carts in Frontierland and, inexplicably, all over Animal Kingdom???
And speaking of Pleasure Island, one of my greatest regrets in life is never having experienced the Adventurer's Club.
Oh....Pleasure Island was....something!!🤭 Especially for CMs!! I was a CP (College Program) and thank goodness I was 21. But imagine cast member night (which was every Thurs night, CMs could get in for free), basically PI became tiny little college town that got taken over by us CPs! It was WILD!! Many things I probably shouldn't disclose here...🫢😶 Instead of Vegas, it's whatever happens at PI, stays in PI!! haha It was good times for sure and LOTS of memories!

Adventures's Club was DH's favorite! I actually still have a souvenir mug from there!

I haven't done EVER (or Aliena or any of the other really fancy-shmancy fine dining spots) actually! I'm a huge fan of pretty much every restaurant by Hogsalt Hospitality. They're the group behind Au Cheval, which made big waves for having "the best burger in America" and I have to admit it IS pretty fantastic, but my favorite Hogsalt Restaurants are Ciccio Mio, a tiny Italian spot, and Trivoli Tavern.
We have done Alinea and Grace (Curtis Duffy's previous restaurant before EVER). To talk about budget vacation here....We went to those two restaurants b2b in 2 days!! It was 💸💸💸🤑 But absolutely no regrets! Two of the most amazing dining experiences our entire lives! DH and I love food...anything from carts/food trucks to michelin stars...all for it as long as it's good food! 🤤
We tried Au Cheval!! Loved it! Just wish we had more room in our belly or people with us to try more stuff!

I was a CP 2010-2011 so I missed PI by two years

It took me awhile to find the two that I have. Basically I have to search for these kinda things when I don't need them or opposite seasons. You couldn't find anything at the store? My go-to are Target, Nordies Rack, Tjmaxx, Marshalls. I can't order them online because I would need to order like 50 of them to try on! LOL! Then still, watch...I don't like any of them! Good luck hope you find a cute one!

Love that I come back and we've progressed from weeds to salsa and .... well plenty of other things.

That is unpossible. Best burger in America is at Grill Em' All in Alhambra CA. They won the inaugural Food Truck Race on Food Network, and have since moved into a brick and mortar space. I am particular to the Molly Hatchett that they only serve on Mondays. I can confirm that the Behemoth and a side of fries can feed a family of 3.
