🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️ Right here!! We even do that with gas station stores if they are the bigger/nicer ones, because you never know what kinda cool snacks/drinks you will find! Let's just say no matter where we are, DH and I always pay most of our attention on food! We are 🐷🐽! LOL!

What and where is the most interesting grocery store you ever been in?
The stores in South Korea were interesting. Even having my son there, I was very nervous buying things after going to a few restaurants and being told things “weren’t spicy”. :scared:

I also remember being in Paris though and being amazed at the sheer selection of cheese, wine and champagne in a regular grocery store. Not even a wine and cheese shop.

Since this is the budget board, tell me to be good and to not even think about upgrading my ticket to an AP. I saw the prices and I’m still thinking about it.:sad2::o

We're all a bunch of enablers over here :teeth: I don't even have a WDW trip planned (we are going to Disneyland this summer), but I'm going to get an AP if I can and have reason to go often!

Nah. Get the AP!!

When I was a kid we flew from Japan to S Korea for a few days. I can still remember the open air markets, the smells, and the pigs hanging in the shops. It was actually pretty cool.

My mom still says I was the best haggler!

My random thought of the day is about weeds. We have a pretty weed that’s trying to take over our yard that has the prettiest little white/purple flowers. My husband hates it and thinks it makes the yard look messy. I love it and think it looks so pretty with all the flowers in bloom. It’s the closest to my lawn looking like it has snow in Florida. I really like the growing trend of re-wilding the lawn with local grasses (weeds) they are more drought resistant and lower maintenance. I’m trying to get my husband on board, but he grew up with a father that had to maintain a perfect manicured lawn, St. Augustine grass and no weeds allowed. I think weeds have a bad rap and we need to stop the pesticide killing of them!!

At the end of 2019 DS & I let our AP expire for the first time in 12+ years. We had kinda gotten burnt out from guest behavior and were planning a big family trip to Disneyland summer of 2020. We'd use our money towards that and then in September 2020 get our APs again.

Well we all know what happened next, that DL was cancelled and horror of horrors, no Annual Passes for sale. TWO years we waited for an AP. TWO long years when we had been going 4-6 times per year. I can't believe DS was so patient as he didn't understand. We were supposed to do DL Paris in summer of 2021 but shifted to whole family to WDW. Figured we'd have to pay for DL Paris tickets so we bought WDW tickets.

We will NEVER let our passes lapse again!!!

I had visited open air markets in Mexico as a teenager so I was prepared for those. I do think the markets are super cool. I generally like spicy food, I was not quite prepared I guess for the Korean definition of ”spicy”. Lol

All caught up from the overnight.

DH is taking DD12 to the Super Mario Bros movie tomorrow, thank goodness I don't have to be dragged along :rotfl2: Saw the trailer, not for me folks! But I'm glad they can go.

A friend of mine (who I met cruising on DCL) is now a Virgin Voyages convert. She and her husband did a b2b over Christmas and just did a b2b2b over spring break and LOVE VV. Don't think they'll ever come back to DCL.

Hmmmm...let's see...what else....payday today for DH (as tomorrow is a holiday here in Canada) so that's officially budget talk right? haha Oh and DD 14 has the opportunity to go to Paris, Provence and Barcelona over spring break 2024 with her art classes in school!!! Getting more info at the parent night next week but the price is way more reasonable than I thought it would be and includes nearly everything (except for a few meals and souvenirs of course). So that's budget and vacation covered ;-)

Yes, I see that. There goes my budget.

On the topic of weeds, I have mixed feelings. I don’t like using weed killer, so I do have a few weeds in my yard. My black Lab has spent her life on a one dog mission to rid our neighborhood of dandelions. She bites the heads off like she’s angry that they exist, and spits them out. There’s one house in the neighborhood we can’t walk past or she’ll want to stop in the area between the sidewalk and the curb for a good 10 minutes. No other weeds bother her, just dandelions.

I did my first 5K (at the ripe old age of 55) at Disney in January. I'm so not a runner, but there are some very nice and welcoming people over there on the running forum! :goodvibes :earsboy:
👏👏 There's no age limit! Big kudos to you! The fact that you did it, that alone is a celebration! 🎉

I love South Korea! Yeah they can definitely handle their spicy there. Even when the package doesn't say spicy, it has a little heat! Kimchee is a stable in my fridge and I swear it's the probiotic in it that makes their skin so frickin smooth!! Even the dudes!! It drives me nuts that no matter I do, what skincare I use, the dudes there will always have better skin than me! 😩
Woot!! The last time I ran I think I about died. I figured I'd live longer if I just didn't. :D
I run (not now) so I can eat🥓🍩🍔🍣🍝 and drink 🍸🍾🥂🍷more!! LOL!!

I live in an area with A LOT of Korean immigrant owned restaurants and can confirm that their level of spicy isn't the same as mine lol. Still very delicious.

😂 at biting the heads off like she’s angry

We have two golden retrievers who live to eat crab grass. If they really love me, they would take care of the other weeds in the yard.

the local noxious weed board sent out an anti-weed pamphlet several years ago that had a photo on the cover of a rural property with a blanket of various colorful blooming weeds. the cover read 'do you want your yard to look like this???' majority of people responded 'YES!!!' the colors were stunning.

I detest chunky salsa except I love pico. Especially made with tomatillos.

My favorite recipe for salsa

Large can of tomato sauce (I'm lazy and don't use fresh unless it is pico)
Cilantro
Onion
Garlic Cloves
A couple or more whole jalapenos (seeds included)
Lime juice
Salt

Obliterate in the cuisinart.

Dang, guess what I'm going to the grocery store for!

Let’s talk salsa today. Mild or spicy. Chunky or runny? How good are you at making it? A co-worker from Costa Rica gave me a recipe that she would always make for work. Hers always looked great. Mine tasted fine but looked like pink dog vomit. I was asked to never make it again.
I think the variety of tomatoes used is key in appealing looking salsa, love mangoes added to the salsa with a bit of a kick.

My choice is spicy and chunky but a lot of my friends + family don't like spicy food so mild and chunky.

These are the only acceptable chips to go with said salsa.

Did you know if you stay at DLP resorts it INCLUDES the admission?? You don't need to buy tickets to go to the parks!! They are INCLUDED with your DLP stay (package up to 5 nights). We are planning ours and that's how I found out. It's amazing!

Weeds and gardening and yard problems is the reason why we live in a condo lol! If we were to ever upgrade to a house, I told DH that I want to pave most of the yard! Well unless if we ever get a Corgi again (we had one for 10 yrs) I would like him/her to have some grass without going outside the house, then we also don't have to get dressed to let him/her out when the weather is crappy!😂

That's interesting! I was only interested in Virgin because they are adult cruises.... and that's so exciting for your DD!! Let them travel young and experience more of the 🌍!

I like medium or spicy, restaurant style! Unless it's Pico. I don't make it but sometimes I do like to add avocado or extra hot sauce if the heat isn't quite there!
LOL!!! why is it PINK!?! How? 🤔
