Never heard of Juanita's. Lime flavored chips are SOOOO good (except for Lays lime. Trust me. It's terrible).

Let’s talk salsa today. Mild or spicy. Chunky or runny? How good are you at making it? A co-worker from Costa Rica gave me a recipe that she would always make for work. Hers always looked great. Mine tasted fine but looked like pink dog vomit. I was asked to never make it again.

my mom used to do canning of homemade salsa and as a result after she made her yearly massive batch the whole house smelled of it for at least a week (she made psycho hot stuff including her infamous garlic dill pickles that my college friends made up a drinking game utilizing).

You should be able to find Junita's at Target! If not, Walmart should have them?(Not sure as I don't shop there).
Ooooo the Late July Lime is also very tasty! If they are on sale I would take those over the Tostitos Lime!

Why the OR? We'll do both!!

I don't love fast food and don't consume them often, but when the cravings hit....98% of the time would be Micky d's nuggets and fries!!

Wait....speaking of that....and since this is a DISNEY forum....Anyone here remember the micky d's they used to have at Downtown Disney?!!? (yes DOWNTOWN not Disney Springs) Where they had sauce pumps we could get unlimited sauces for our nuggets!!!!! DH and I loved that micky ds....just because of the sauce pumps! LOL!

Ooooooo and this can lead down to memory lane and another fun topic - Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney?!

I remember that McDs it had a playground outside too for the kids. They later turned it into a chicken restaurant that I can’t remember the name of. I sadly only went to PI once and I wasn’t 21 yet so I could only get into some of the 18+ clubs. I wish I could have experienced it in all its glory.

Yes! I was walking into that McD one day and two younger kids were walking out. Like single digit she’s. I instinctively held the door open for them but quickly realized I should make sure they weren’t just wandering off so I looked around to see if I could find their parent or other adult. I didn’t see one so I kind of started to shut the door on them until I saw a woman walking over saying wait.

It was their mother and she thanked me for making sure they didn’t just walk out.

That is my only memory of that McDonalds.

Love that I come back and we've progressed from weeds to salsa and .... well plenty of other things.

-Chicago: Been there once and loved it! I might not want to live there (weather) but would definitely visit again! So much good food! I am dying to try EVER (love chef Curtis Duffy!) so that will definitely be part of the itinerary when we go back to Chi-town!

I haven't done EVER (or Aliena or any of the other really fancy-shmancy fine dining spots) actually! I'm a huge fan of pretty much every restaurant by Hogsalt Hospitality. They're the group behind Au Cheval, which made big waves for having "the best burger in America" and I have to admit it IS pretty fantastic, but my favorite Hogsalt Restaurants are Ciccio Mio, a tiny Italian spot, and Trivoli Tavern.

I also love how much of a Top Chef presence there is in Chicago, I always root for Chicago chefs when they are competing!

Like when you're at dinner or talking to a group and you're not sure about something, it's kind of amazing to be able to just look it up instead of everyone sitting around wondering. Although my family uses it to "fact check" me sometimes which, in the rare occasion I am wrong, I do not always appreciate.

I don't remember the Downtown Disney McD's but I DO remember the fry carts in Frontierland and, inexplicably, all over Animal Kingdom???

And speaking of Pleasure Island, one of my greatest regrets in life is never having experienced the Adventurer's Club.

I go away for a few hours to do some scouring on Amazon for a sun hat for next week and the ping pong of topics is just what I was hoping for! Good job everyone

Side note my head measures 20.5inches and apparently that qualifies as a toddler to under 6 year old size depending on the product! None of the women's hats would fit me but they are so much cuter. I couldn't find a cute, good quality (based on reviews) straw hat so stuck with more practical can get wet but not as cute fabric hats.

Ordered 3 of them 2 being the same thing just 2 different sizes BUT those have a ponytail slot and another 1 that doesn't have a ponytail slot. But I needed to find stuff that could come this weekend. Items are supposed to be here tomorrow fingers crossed...it is my fault for waiting this late but this thread def. took my attention away earlier this week..it's all of your faults

Oh boy for sure! My DISer group of friends we're bad like that too, a decent amount of trips to places made just because someone said "that would be cool!"

I think a multi-day train ride might be in the works if we can find a good priced one that the group can do

My husband is in a constant battle with weeds at our house and I hear about it every year. We have lawn envy for 2 houses on our street. Not sure what they do (well we know they water a lot) but their grass is so green, doesn't seem to suffer from weeds or things like grubs. Every year we talk about being the weirdos who would like to knock on their doors asking them for advice

A friend of mine (who I met cruising on DCL) is now a Virgin Voyages convert. She and her husband did a b2b over Christmas and just did a b2b2b over spring break and LOVE VV. Don't think they'll ever come back to DCL.

Okay so this one struck a "that is SOOOO me" chord. My husband's family is so used to me being the person who is looking up stuff. Random conversations in the car they can bet that if there's a "I wonder..." And they always say "Mackenzie I know you're looking it up what's the answer" I just love learning new stuff is all
